It'd be cool if Valve jumbled the Left 4 Dead and Counter Strike universes in the same world. If it were me in charge, I'd do it like this:
Counter Strike: Go takes place after the infected are no longer a threat. Humanity finally leaves the fortresses they built to start to rebuild civilization and somewhat successfully at that. You'll see in the maps that shacks have become houses and offices, small business like the restaurant have clearly grown and renovated in response to demand. Destroyed areas have been cleaned up and rebuilt, and commerce has returned at least to some extent. Gas is being transported once again, anyone working in construction is clearly rich enough to retire, and the factor of how many people died may have sped up the recovery (less mouths to feed, less sick to take care of, those strong enough to survive are likely strong enough to help rebuild).
Seeing an opportunity, terrorists have launched a full scale war all over the world in an attempt to gain a foothold of power and possession of much desired resources and transport routes. Docks, roadways, ports, and of course simply places where they can throw everyone into a panic. The terrorists of old (CS:S skins) are long dead, either from age or infection, and the new terrorists (CS:Go) are much newer, making rookie mistakes like attempting to attack places that the terrorists had either never attacked (new maps) or had long since given up on (maps that appeared in CS 1.6 but not CS:S).
This also explains why there aren't any civilians in the maps (except for the hostage rescues). Where are they going to hide when the terrorists attack? The same impenetrable fortresses where they hid from the infected. It also explains why so many new weapons are available. The counter-terrorists have the weapons stockpiled during the infection. While the counter-terrorist funding (money each round) is obvious (governments), the terrorists are likely being funded by various anarchy groups who don't want to see the return of government authority, and by the heads of nations who want to get their hands on the resources I mentioned earlier.

There was a tweet on the official twitter saying that there will be an official zombie mode post-launch, so maybe something like this could be possible too for mappers or something.

What movie system? If you're talking about demoes, they tweeted it's broken and they plan to fix it, but if theres a different movie system I'd really like to know what I've been missing
