Alright chaps, I just got back from a 7 hour session of BL, and it's amazing. Best game of the year. So many fantastic things happen, almost all of the excellence is caused by the weapons, for example, I've been playing Mordecai, and at level 11, I found a level 13 Revolver, and I didn't really look at the stats, but I still held onto it, in the middle of an epic fight, I leveled up to 13, selected the revolver, and found out that it 1 hit killed almost everything. I felt like an awesome cowboy from the future. It was great. [editline]06:21PM[/editline] I tried playing some Coop, but it was laggy because it isn't out here yet.

Do specific classes use specific weapons or can I be Mordecai and still use like an assault rifle?

So Mordecai can use an assault rifle, but he may raise his skill with it alot slower, than say a sniper rifle or revolver. I don't really like the random name generator, but oh well. I mean really? Deathly Stomper? What the fuck? Same goes for 'angry' and all those. ALSO; this may seem like a dumb question for the console people, but do the names necessarily describe the weapon? ive been hearing about 'bad' this and 'terrible' that and 'awful' something or other'. I mean the only truly negative name I saw was 'surplus repeater' meaning that it was a mass produced crap gun.

Some just start out with a higher proficiency with a specific gun. Mordecai starts out with higher pistol and sniper rifle proficiency I think.

This game sounds amazing. Looking at all of this gameplay makes me want to pre-order it, but I spent all of my money on L4D2. Rightn ow is a "FUCK" moment. Oh well, I'll just try to buy it later.

I have a Revolver which I think is called Bloody Revenge, and I had a had an SMG that shot 2 bullets per shot which was called Double Avenger, if I recall correctly, I also have a Static somethingorother which is a lightning SMG. So sometimes it matters, and sometimes it doesn't. Some of the terrible weapons are good, but most suck. [editline]07:35PM[/editline] A lot of guns have really epic names.

so are the surplus guns just standard? or are they bad?
