I don't know whether to preorder this or not, I got the money but I'm sort of saving up for something and the last few games I've bought I've regretted buying.
The most important part of an RPG to me is the LOOT. And well.. the loot in borderlands doesn't seem very interesting ( i have not played it. PC user. ) All i can imagine dropping are: Junk items to sell Guns ammunition Grenades Unless there are maybe some crafting skills in borderlands ?
Can anyone tell me how gory this is? I went to Blockbuster today I asked if they were going to get Borderlands. The guy said "No, its rated M", so I replied "Well you have other M games here". He said it was to grotesque and I said "Yeah but you have games like Soldier Of Misfortune". He just said they have about 4 really gory games

It's like selling potions or swords in Diablo. But loot is mostly important to me too, and you'll find GREAT loot that's almost never the same.
Consoles these days are getting closer and closer to being PC's. i'm getting it on PS3 so i can play splitscreen with my Bro.
Consoles were very very close to PC's in 2006, now PC's are light-years in the future, consoles are holding back development in the Game Industry.

It's probably in between TF 2 and GoW in terms of the level of gore.

For some reason If the store sells games, then the employees are usually idiots.
Well, I'm gonna go to play brutal legend for about an hour and then go pick up my copy of borderlands
Borderland's not really gory in an at all realistic way, only in a fun way, it don't really consider it gore, people just kind of pop.
Thanks, weird that they can't get this but they have both GOWS
Yeah, then whoever you spoke to is an idiot.
Like man-balloons.
Like man-balloons.
lol fucked you up.
No!!! Scott Jones (Crispy Gamer) hates Borderlands. And to think I agreed with him almost all of the time.
So does the PC version have split screen?
For some reason If the store sells games, then the employees are usually idiots.
Reading that in Garfield's droning monotone made that 80x funnier to read.
Has anybody else got stuck? I dove for cover from a grenade and I jumped between a building and a giant rock. Now, I am stuck between the building and rock, making it where I can't move. Also enemies can't get to me to kill me. lol, I'll just reload the game
Clichéd post-apocalyptic dystopian world; "Extreme" attitude; Fairly mundane shooting action; Split-screen as a concept = so very 1999.
Whoever uses that as a justification for a game being bad?
Like a yuppie getting a tattoo, Borderlands wants to be cool and edgy.
Let me fix that for him:
Like a yuppie getting a tattoo, Scott Jones wants to be cool and edgy.
Fixed
All his reasons for it being bad are stupid. I'm guessing he didn't like Painkiller because it was too extreme, or Fallout 3 because it was too clichéd

He can't really find anything too negative, he's just saying that the game is mediocre. Not only that, but he's not giving the game credit where it's due.
I'm getting incredibly impatient. Console users are enjoying this game while pc users have to wait like a week! PC users will enjoy it more though ( mouse is dominant ) Borderlands is EVERYWHERE. It has HUGE advertisements on Gamespot and IGN and it's the nr.1 game on gamespot and IGN.
I hope there is keyboard and xbox controller co-op that would be awesome
From what I gather he actually liked Far Cry 2.
God damn now I'm starting to read your posts in Garfield's voice too.
I'm hosting a party the day it's released over here so I won't be able to play. :c

My Halloween mask got cancelled because somebody ordered it before me (it was the last copy). So now I'm going to pre-order Borderlands instead and wear some old mask. [editline]10:56PM[/editline] Fuck now I want Borderlands so bad
From what I gather he actually liked Far Cry 2.
There we go. His opinion on anything is now invalid. His life in now forfeit.

I for one like to read about both sides of a medal. In the end I will form my own opinion anyway when I play it. Sometimes I would like to be a reviewer and keep writing "negative" reviews non-stop just to piss off some kids around who can't fathom that others can have different opinions, and being paid to do that? That would be just awesome, I envy reviewers.
