Shit. I'm 90% done with the download and it says that Part 11 can't be found on the 2K Games server.
I'm going to wing it and unzip all the 10 parts I have anyways...

No way to run the preload like Killing floor then?
oh no, what a disaster
Ues, it is.
Official System reqs: http://www.spielegrotte.de/backcover.php?anr=44627 (German)
Apparently that very last part file that I needed to download had all the necessary binaries and DLLs to run the game.
Well played, 2K, well played... :argh:

What makes you think you can play a game that is missing 8 percent of its files? It's not like you can play it untill the last chapter or something :v:
Just wait abit, maybe they need to upload it to the server or that it will be available later.

Iunno. Thought I could've gotten lucky and maybe they'd end up all being movies...or...music...or something. You know. Non-game breaking stuff.
Preloading at my top speed of... 240kb/s :sigh:
So does the PC version have split screen??
How could someone play splitscreen on a PC i mean think about the controls and the screen size

They obviously aren't going to share a fucking keyboard and mouse lol, there are controllers

Either two mice and two keyboards, or a controller (I'd prefer the former, but it's expensive and you need a lot of free space on your desk).

You best be trollin' Killing Floor is awesome.
I'm not trolling. That is my opinion, for me it gets even more repetitive than l4d 1 and is quite literally a chore to play. The exact same thing happens every time.
Fart around with weak and pathetic zombies, slowly shuffling forward. THEN! The gigantic faggot of a scientist pokes his ill conceived and poorly designed head into the fray, and the team wither gets wiped out due to him being horrendously imbalanced, or actually manages to kill him by using each other as bait.
I mean the hit detection on half the damn enemies is off too, and when I mean half, I mean the ones that get killed so fast that doesn't even matter.
Namely; the skrake and the fleshpound. You will see blood and sparks and shit sly off of them like crazy, but they won't even flinch. What makes it even more ridiculous is when finally enough firepower is poured into them that the killing blow sends them cartwheeling 20 feet back.
I mean come on, especially the skrake would get shredded if he had two assault rifle mags, a few blasts from a shotgun and a dozen or so .50 slugs in him. His spine would have been snapped in so many places it isn't even funny.
As I said, that is my opinion as to why Killing floor is a bad game.
back on topic; How exactly are the weapons rated in terms of rarity? What color is the most common? The least?
Rarity?
Rarity is represented by a color-coded system that many gamers are familiar with. You'll be able to tell how rare the item you got was from this system. From least to most rare, the colors are white, green, blue, purple, orange.
It's a bit like World of Warcraft;
White > Green > Blue > Purple > Yellow > Orange
White being normal and Orange being the rarest of the rarest

FFffffff- ninja'd
So apparently the PC version is being sold in large quantities in Austria and Germany. People are unable to play them tough because of the date lockout. A few people on the gearbox forums are asking 2K to allow the copies to unlock, which in turn would mean that steam would unlock the game as well!
Nothing concrete yet, more at 7. :foxnews:

I remeber the UT2004 mod.
Back then we split up into two teams. We would seal the doors at one ond of a corridor (which was in fornt of a zombie spawn point.) We would all head downt ot the other end. whic had anohter spawn point at the end of it (we used this corridor because the shop was in it) we would all defend that one end then check the other every so often.
For some reaon the zombie spawn behind the door was in such a place that the cound't detect us so they just stood there and moped.
So two peope With RPG's stood with their backs to the wall facing the door.
Two people ran up and quickly opened it. As soon as the door opend the RPG guys fired a salvo while the Door openers tossed grenades it.
In short it wne from a room filled with more zombies than a L4D bathroom while the director is in panic mode to an empty room with a nice new red colour scheme.
On another note borderlands is being dispached tomorrow. :buddy:

Well, by 'a few' do you mean four, or do you mean forty thousand?
Because I doubt it is going to have much of an impact on what Gearbox does. Don't get me wrong, I hope they succeed, but there really isn't much a handful of people are going to do... go on a hunger strike in Gearbox's EU HQ would produce some interesting results, though.
[editline]02:46PM[/editline]
Also, how is damage type indicated on the weapon? I remember hearing/reading from somewhere that whatever color the weapon, was the type of damage it did.
There some other way it works now? Or is it just included in the description?

Well Gearbox themselves said that if enough people would get their hands on the PC version legitimately before the official release date that they'd unlock it earlier. And since there's a load of copies being sold freely right NOW, they should unlock it earlier. One can only hope anyway.

That picture does not really show me anything.
Do you have numbers or something? How many people is "enough people"

Nobody's got numbers since neither Gearbox nor 2K have commented yet. All they said a while ago was "if there are going to be early releases, and those releases are legit (not mistakes) then the release date will have to be set back... we won't screw people." and those PC copies are being sold by MediaMartk and Saturn which are pretty big sellers all over Europe so there should be quite a few people trying to play.
Nobody knows after how many copies Gearbox/2K are going to unlock it.
Can anyone link to one of the gearbox threads?

( Not specifically @ poster)
I hope that people eventually realize that when vehicles get stuck, that it's usually just a simple matter of punching/knifing the vehicle. This sends the vehicle flying out of wherever it got stuck....unless its on stairs, in which case, you're fucked.
