I kinda figured I'd come in here and see that everyone was discussing the game now that it's out on the consoles... But I guess everyone's getting the PC version. I am too, but... My friend just got the PS3 version when it came out, so I've been playing it a lot at his place. It seemed kinda like a lot of the weapons we were finding were kinda disappointing to me, and not as wild and varied as they seemed in the previews... But just yesterday I hit level 20 and I found a shotgun that fires rockets! The description of the weapon actually says specifically "Holy crap! It shoots rockets!" Its ammunition is shotgun shells, but instead of firing a shotgun blast, it just shoots a single rocket. Pretty amazing.

It sounds pretty disappointing. Definetly ain't as much weapon variation as they advertised.

Or are you finding repeats.[/QUOTE] I don't think I've seen a gun drop with the exact same stats as another I've found a gun with the same name and effect (regenerating ammo), but the damage was slightly different, along with recoil or something.

As far as model goes it feels like I've only seen the same one a couple of times. But that's because they were the same weapon I believe.

They're randomly generated, that's why there's so much of them.

i picked up a rocket launcher which shot 3 rockets at once in a spiral, only using 1 unit of ammo, each rocket doing 222 damage i've also got a shotgun with 2 scopes and a revolver drum, bright green and is semi automatic

Does anyone know if the game ever becomes more open. I thought there would be huge freeroam areas where you drive vehicles around but so far it's mostly linear. I'm at [sp]Sledge's Safehouse[/sp], btw.
