combat rifle and shotgun
That way you have long, mid and close ranges.
Also, I have a question/statement for anyone who's already beaten the game, once or even twice.
Why? Did you just rush through it? I'm probably not even near completing it and I'm level 30. Haven't grinded anything, just been doing every side mission possible.
I think that if you pay for a game, you owe it to yourself to enjoy it.

I'm level 34 and I didn't do any side quests. I'm doing that in the playthrough 2 option.
Just got an alien shotgun that shoots balls of electricity and the description reads: Lightning may not strike the same place twice, but it can strike freaking everywhere!
Oh god what should i get. This or L4D2 D:!
This, but if you're still not sure, go to the L4D2 thread and ask the same question
Is there a level block like in Fallout 3?
Is there a level block like in Fallout 3?
50. DLC may change that though.

A cap? Yes. At level 50 I think.
50. DLC may change that though.
We can only hope. As long as it added a fourth skill tree, then it would be balanced.
So my local Gamestop said they wouldn't have this until Tuesday of this week after me and 3 people already preordered and planned on playing Monday night, looks like Steam will be the way to go if they truly don't have it Monday.

They should just add more stuff for the skill tree you already have.
How long does it take to get to 50 then?
In fallout 3 it took pretty fast.

I don't think anyone is at level 50 here, yet.
I've played since 9am today and a couple hours last night and I'm just over 20.

I role with sniper/revolver.
Haven't got any special guns yet.
Now for the last question.
Is there a sort of matchmaking system? Or do i need friends that play coop in this game?
I don't know what level that means, but if its of any help, I heard it gets more open between 15-25.
I went there at level 11 and let me tell you, not a good idea. Good thing sniping's not hard.
How long does it take to get to 50 then?

I know that from 30 to 31 requires over 120k experience.
And, I have a friend who's been playing this more than I am, and he's got a level 44. So I think it's gonna take a while for 50.
So i will wait for the PC version, just wanted to ask:
Is this game really good? It will be like Assasins Creed (oh this game is soo coolz, and after a month - everyone forgets about it) Or maybe like Fallout 3 (oh this game is soo coolz, and after a year - oh this game is soo coolz)? Please be honest.
Based on the premises of 4-player co-op with RPG elements it should last a good while if you play with friends, then again I thought L4D would be like that so I don't know how accurate that is. :|

Fortunately this has a little more depth than having zombies put in slight different places each time.

But L4D is still a great game and lots people play it :(
Is it worth 50 euros?
Replayable?
Fun?
Glitchy?
You guys remember that super awesome ammo regenerating acid revolver?
Fuck that, I found an explosive pistol called "The Dove" that is truley a HAX gun. It has a 12 round magazine, but the rounds never seem to empty?!
I CAN FIRE FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
you get it from doing the mission "Alter Ego: Godless Creatures" at the Middle of Nowhere bounty board.
Your a bit late on that

It's worth 60 euros if you ask me.
Also, I think that gearbox should implement an official trading/auction function. None of that, "hey ill drop you this if you drop me that". Like an option on the main menu, something like what Forza 2 had.

Really? show me how late I was then.
What exactly are the multiplayer options in the game? Can you make a "public" server people can join at any time? Is there some sort of lobby or is it free runtime join? Can you change a private server to public while playing, etc... I have a single friend who is getting it, so we want to leave the last 2 slots open.

You can make Public lobbies and Private Lobbies.

how exactly does MP work- like L4d where you can just drop in whenever? Or does everyone have to be in a lobby before the game begins?
It's probably the first one because the second would be retarded, but still...
That is awesome. I cannot wait for monday!

People can hop in at any time, yes.
Love this game so much, THIS is what I wanted fallout to be.[sp] Just beat sledge at lvl 16 by going in and out of the door while my health recharged.[/sp]
