all publishers suck at geography.
rapidshit
warez is mainly on p2p traffic
i realllllly fucking doubt pirates would do that for something they have for free.
if you found 1 million dollars in your house one day, would you keep it? or turn it in to a company.
That's a terrible analogy. I'm saying if you already bought the game and you're waiting for it THEN if you pirate it for a short time it doesn't seem like a problem.
Piracy is sometimes the only way to find out if the game is worth your hard earned cash, No Demo = No Sale
Kind of like the No Pix No Clix policy, Too many times in the last 10 years I've been shafted because of clever advertising or lying promises, so I get a hands on preview before I buy any game from now on. It should be illegal to sell any software without a trial of some sort to be tried, since Places like Best Buy and Wal mart are dicks when it comes to Refunds on Electronics, If I had the money I spent on games I wish I had tried before wasting the money, I could buy a new PC right now
You'll have Borderland, 21 hours before us (5 days for the people in Europe), but we'll have better grammar forever.
4 days and 19 hours.
:eng101: ... :Dawkins102:
Edit: How did I miss on so many posts, I gotta refresh more.
its shifting
p2p is for squares

point is, if you stole something, and you start using/whatever, you have no incentive to give it back and to buy something else, ESPECIALLY on the internet
Exactly! :science:
Anyway, can't we just discuss the game instead of the release dates and/or piracy?
Never mind, I really have no interest in continuing this argument.
Meh, I was about to argue back, but didn't quote you before you snipped that.
Let's just chill and be friends.
my local game store lets you pop in the game into one of their consoles and play for around 20 mins and you can see if you like it or not.
There was a place in Nashville that did the same thing, I liked that place. That was the era of the Dreamcast though, so quite a few years ago
my local game store lets you pop in the game into one of their consoles and play for around 20 mins and you can see if you like it or not.
yeah, my local gamespot does the same thing.
Never mind, I really have no interest in continuing this argument.
whoah whoah, we never created a government, and so far we haven't even discussed the possible implementation of this horrid attack on capitalism you have outlined
for the people following this thread:
fourteen year old bitches about piracy because the world should be as he wants it, gets trolled, goes home
Never mind, I really have no interest in continuing this argument.
Pff, as if something you can't see with your eyes could have a monetary value.
I prefer to buy the hardcopies of games and it pisses me off that the stores in my area are always a day fucking late at putting their games up.
In an attempt to get this thread back on track...
To the people who already have this game:
Would you say Master Blaster is a really important skill? By the time I get it I'd probably be close to the end of the game and I've heard that practically every one will have near-unlimited ammo. Should I go for it or save my points and put more stuff into increasing my Berserker stats?

The only problem is most of the time, if you pirate a game just to "try" it, you're not going to end up buying it. Even if the game is awesome you're just gonna play you're pirated copy.
Okay so username and lettuce-head have expressed interest in the four pack, I may have another person I can get on but if not we still need one more.
Assuming Lettuce Head uses an alt or something as he's now banned of course.
onox37 also said he would do it.
gamecrazy was it?
why the fuck am i getting addicted to speaking yoda-esque?
I'm not sure, too many years ago to remember, I think that was it though

Hey, if you need to stoke the fires of your burning e-rep, go for it.
The reason why I edited it was because the argument was going nowhere, as neither side was doing anything to convince the other.
But hey, if you want to argue pointlessly about something like this by all means.
Uh I live in Europe and steam says that Borderlands gets released in 20 hours. That's good I guess.

This is the case some of the times with some people, but Multiplayer is one of the largest things I look for in a game, and I'd like to be able to hop in and out at will, so I end up buying the games I like and uninstalling the ones I don't after a few hours of playing.
If only there was a place to rent PC games, but Alas CD keys alone would prevent a majority of content, even with this idea

You can't play online on pirated copies of games these days. Or.. very rarely can.
My friend pirated CoD4 and loved it. Then bought the game for the multiplayer. Which i loved even more.

You're right, but I find a lot of the time these games that I want to try are single-player so that doesn't always apply.
We really need an online digital rental service for PC games, like steam except you rent.
Uh I live in Europe and steam says that Borderlands gets released in 20 hours. That's good I guess.
WHAT? Time to restart Steam to confirm that.

if you've got to censor and edit yourself because a topic as mundane as piracy is brought up you should probably drop your opinion entirely and go play catch with your dad or something
You're right, but I find a lot of the time these games that I want to try are single-player so that doesn't always apply.

I think a PC Rental service that acts like Steam or Direct2Drive would be a good idea, Sure it may be easier for someone to crack it (After paying 2 or 3 bucks for the download) But after the limited period of time you're restricted, even with a cracked copy, it would act just like any other torrented game, only money was made in the process
So there you have it, Those who would never buy the game, end up being customers in some form anyway
Still saying 30th for me. :crying:

His argument was correct, he just doesn't want to derail the thread any more.

I really hope that I will actually get it tomorrow.
