So anyone have a list of the variables in the guns yet?
Just popped this into my Xbox :neckbeard:

Best opening I have seen in a while
I totally wanted to watch the whole thing but i stopped after around 5-7 seconds.
You should warn people this might ruin the mood for them when they start up the game for the first time.

There are like 3 million variables in the guns, it would take forever to list them all.

I felt like that while watching it but I couldn't turn it off.
Anyone else had a thought that DJ champion and Claptrap voice actor, is the same person?
Ugh, do you guys think i should ditch getting MW 2 on the xbox for this? and should i get BL for Xbox or PC? I have an ATI 4830 running a monitor at 1680x1050 if anyone knows how well this game runs
Why are people comparing CoD with Borderlands ?
Borderlands is an RPG. You level up and get better weapons and become more powerful.
CoD is a competitive shooter. And the singleplayer is good but it's not an RPG.
It's like saying i won't be getting Starcraft 2 because diablo 3 is going to be so much better. Two different games
ugh i can't pick my copy up until tomorrow
well im not comparing the two, it's just that i wanna see if someones opinion would help me lean over to choosing one of them.
Good thing I didn't walk over to the gamestore close to me then. It's a 1 hour walk there and back and I'd feel like an idiot wasting all that time just to realize that the PC version hasn't been released yet.
Man, you guys are going to be posting so fast when the PC version comes out, it's not even going to be funny.
Waiting sucks. 30th + postage from Amazon. Fuuuuuuuuuu

No, we're going to be playing Borderlands.

Borderlands errs more on the side of the traditional FPS rather than an RPG, making it a shooter with RPG elements, not the other way around. To that extent, it's in the same genre as MW2 and therefore people are going to decide which is a better buy based largely on how fun it is to shoot things in either game.

And you'll be posting to Facepunch through the Steam web browser

I watched it, and it made me want to play it even more, and I will still probably laugh at certain parts of it when I get it. It's not like it revealed anything we didn't already know, and besides it's good to spoil yourself every once in a while.
I'm just super pissed that I still have to go through this entire god damned week AND weekend finishing off my work and then doing NOTHING until it is released on Monday. Why the fuck couldn't they have done it over the weekend, or on friday like a sensible company?
I mean if they want to delay it as some sort of bullshit tactic to get more sales for the console, or reduce pirating right away, fine.
But why the fuck would you release a game- one that probably has a large following of late teen-mid/late 20 year olds, on MONDAY. Are they fucking stupid or something?
/end rant.
It's all marketing. Take a look at all the big game titles that came/coming out. Most of them are released on a Tuesday or a Wednesday.
I read somewhere that we can use the same CD key for playing on LAN. This doesn't seem true to me, but can anybody confirm this?

Why though?
If anything I think that would dissuade people from going out and buying it, since the majority of people buying it would either be in school, in class, or at work.

OK...? I didn't disagree, I asked why they came out Tuesday instead of on a Friday or the weekend.
You said it was marketing. I would like to know the strategy behind releasing a game in the middle of the week as opposed to Friday or the weekend.

It's because sales figures are released on Mondays. So generally, companies will release their product one day after the sales figures are released (Tuesdays) so that it allows them to fully maximize their numbers that are posted the following Monday.
[editline]08:52PM[/editline]
And if a product is selling well on a Tuesday release, then there is a good amount of time to order in more shipments.

I laughed. Let me reword my question. Has anybody heard that we can use the same CD key for lan from the game creators or another website?
Playing it coop with my broski, awesome game so far, missions have a bit of story and the graphics are very pleasing, haven't seen these 12k guns yet though but so far it is an enjoyable experience.
Level 6, Mordecai here :D

Video games also sometimes have to compete with films. Most films are released on Friday's for the weekend rush. If video games get released then its just more competition and fewer opening sales.
I'm confused as to why some people might assume this game would be a seamless world. It would be fantastic, yeah, but this is UE3 we're talking about. Not exactly known for streaming worlds. Hell, there hasn't been a single game released made with UE3 that's had an open world.
