What's the best complete mod for Shadow of Chernobyl?
So... If I go to a say, Duty trader they'd sell only their faction's equipment but at a lowered price? Sounds legit to me and it'd encourage the player to use mainly their faction's gear (the repair costs could be with the same system, with Duty repairing duty armors for cheap etc.) .
Btw, I don't know if you also design missions for diff. factions but guarding and escorting V.I.Ps could be a good random mission for the merc faction, eh ? Just throwing it out there..
I always use the guns the enemy faction uses rather than my own, since I'll be killing those enemies and looting ammo off their corpses.
SgtDoom, do you need any help besides the sripting? (I only know the basic of script-writing for STALKER)
I'm pretty good at adding weapons, armors and even factions.
I also can tweak other aspects of the game (Weapon spawns, relations,...)

What's going on fellow stalkers.
Sunday_Roast: I think I saw a dog in the neighbourhood.
I think I might have solved the mystery of some factions not responding if the player kills a fellow faction member:
The ones that do respond are loners, freedom, duty. In those, the player is not actually a member of their faction, but a member of an actor-specific faction that is very friendly towards the faction. E.g. a Duty player is actually a member of actor_duty.

Come one guys, lets liven the thread up a bit. Post your screen shots!
Everytime I put the Full dynamic Lights on in CoP, my game crashes everytime the next time I start it
Ah, turns out I was partly wrong. actor_dolg has a relation of 600 with dolg, which is the most friendly you can become with a faction through missions. Whereas if a player is ecologist, they have a 5000 relation with themselves, naturally; so therefore as the player is member of ecologist, rather than something like actor_ecologist with a relation of 600, they don't respond to the player killing their own.
Likely this was put in place in vanilla to prevent friendly fire incidents turning into civil war.

actor_monolith
actor_killer
actor_bandit
actor_ecolog
actor_military
They should have the same relations as their parent faction, but they have a relation of 600 with their parent faction. Just send the needed files to me once you're done. It would be preferable if you based this off vanilla files rather than my own for the moment.

Joe on the official Facebook page, commenting on a guy worried about the inventory being dumbed down for consoles:
We have said before that we will never compromise the PC Version of Stalker because of the console ports. I assure you we are more than aware of the audience we create these games for and we ourselves, indeed the owner of GSC has a vision of Stalker and won't let something like consoles stop us from reaching it! Have no fear Stalker!
Love to hear that.

No one can stop the PC master race. No one
I love it when they tell us the owner has a vision of Stalker. They're a dedicated lot.

Especially not some 12 year old Americans that never tasted the harshness of STALKER.

That is what I noticed as well. If I was attacking a loner camp as Duty, the ones that were on guard would retaliate however the ones preoccupied at the fire would just sit there and do nothing. Although it would mark them as enemies.
Is there any Trainer for Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl that works with the Steam version?

Why would you need one? :colbert:

NS translation is going well so far....

I want a better suit.

It doesn't work.

Woohoo! :buddy:

I had this but it was a Duty camp and I was Military. Shooting them did nothing and neither did going near them. Killed one and the other still didn't care.
Just left the bar, on my way to Yantar via Rostok. :buddy:
Is there a savegame editor or something like that?
Does anyone want to add me to steam friends http://steamcommunity.com/id/DigitalySane :D?
so i shot up the bar and when i approached the greeter i shot him in the face from an angle so he wouldn't be able to shoot me and then some anomaly appears for whatever reason right next to his corpse and then all of a sudden the fucking door started spazzing out and crushing the greeter against the wall with only his legs sticking out ala-gmod
and then i tried to walk inside as the door was spazzing and it smashed me in the face and i died the end
I tried to take screenshots but by the time I tried to take one, the corpse stopped glitching and it didn't look as funny so I didn't take one. :smith:
This was on Doom's mod.
