Personally, i'd prefer to leave it that way, since they are, after all, not really stalkers anymore. Doubtful their PDAs work anymore. It's a fairly simple fix to change that iirc.
The second thing is a bug with detection values, that i'll hopefully avoid when i'm redoing the mod.

Lurk had the problem of there not being any ammo on corpses. Know how to fix that?

You'll find that NPCs drop absolutely everything they own now, rather than having their inventories randomly filled according to loot tables.
I disabled it because of the incredible imbalance of killing a faction trader and selling their stuff (compounded with the greater supply of stuff for the Military and Merc traders), pending a fix for that, but you can re-enable it if you feel things are too sparse. I haven't had the opportunity for a thorough playtest, especially with redoing the entire thing.

Look for:

and replace it with this:

Just musing here, but I thought this idea might add a little immersion to one's stalking.
In SoC, traders send you on artifact hunts for specfic items. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to request an artifact via a trader? If you've got the rubles and time, you could obtain a much-needed artifact to delve deeper into the zone. This is probably in a mod someplace, but I don't recall ever seeing it. I'd assume it was possible, since there are weapon request scripts. Even better, a nearby Stalker could be sent away to "hunt" for the artifact.

A more complicated solution, e.g. a dialog which, after a certain time, calls you back to the trader to receive the artifact, is more difficult but absolutely doable.

I've been thinking about a bunch, I haven't played OL since well a long time ago, but being able to recruit some guys to go with you would be great.
Also with AMK:SE and DoomPlay does anyone get issues of their inventory breaking, like items below a certain point become unclickable?

Go to textures/ui, check that ui_icon_equipment.dds is 16 megabytes in size. If it's not, you've got the wrong one. The one in the main texture folder, the 2mb file, is not to be used.

Yep, its 16 megabytes. I think it's my gpu problem, it have trouble handling textures with sizes over 2048x2048.

I also have this issue in AMK:SE. I seem to recall it being there in OL 2.2 also. Not a huge deal usually, but I hate having to throw a lot of my looted guns down to puff on a diet sausage when I get hungry. Such is life in the Zone I guess.

I don't know shit about shit, other than some .ltx tweaking, but maybe I'll try to get the artifact buy stuff working. It'd make me happy if I could get it to do so, and maybe get incorporated into bigger mods.

I can't speak for Whitelegs, but my weight limit is the default. Maybe it has something to do with the quantity of items, I tend to have a lot of smaller items in my inventory.

Nah when I play with the default weight given in the mods 50kg/80kg or whatever it happens, It just doesnt seem to like scrolling, can't remember if it was still bad with higher weights.
