Sort of related - do the smoke bombs in AMK:SE actually serve a purpose, or does the AI ingore them completely? I see Sid has some, but I never dropped any coin on them. Figured it wasn't too helpful when I could just throw a real 'nade at my oppressors.
They just fuck with the AI threat logic, i.e: 'Oh fuck there's a grenade near me, better run away!' Rather than blocking line of sight.

These may result in comedy, I will buy some.

Yeah I had a brain fart and for some reason completely forgot about Sokolov :unsmith:
so I got my new pc and the motherboard pci-e slots and the graphic card I got are defect, just my luck so I wont be able to play stalker this week either
Sokolov's SSP model would be a good replacement for a helmetless Kruglov if he had more hair and an older face.

Question: I'm assuming I should play CoP vanilla first, but after I'm done with the vanilla game, what are the mods you people would recommend for it?
In the ShoC version of SGM, when I get the stuff out of the box and go back to Sid, his door is locked. I've done a new game twice, anyone know how to solve this?

Wait wait wait did someone say that he's mergin the maps from shoc into cop?
Still haven't gotten a mod for SoC yet. I'm going to enjoy Vanilla for awhile longer, then start looking. I'm thinking about AMK:SE, but from the sound of it that mod's full of bull... stuff.
