Don't you remember in the previous thread where we were talking about weapons and I randomly brought up an AK that shoots electricity?

I got Clear sky yesterday. Haven't installed it yet because I still need to play SoC and CoP first. But I'm ready!

Playing CoP, paying some guys debt, bandit is asking for 7k rubles and I only have 6k. FUCK YOU BANDITS! And now I have to kill all the bandits... when I come back from my trip. When I come back I expect this thread to be on page 40. ( I come back monday )

I am personally tired of the nvidia logos being in every game.

You know? I really do like SGM's set up of the main story mission. I like how you are forced to go to Yanov still pretty early in the game and you have to go back and forth between the two areas. I forced me to go out of my way to find side missions to fund my expeditions between Zaton and Yanov. Also, none of that stupid mine in the most inconvenient spot ever crap. I turned that off immediately and am not turning on the Alpha Squad until I have at least mostly level 2 upgrades for my weapons and suit. It wouldn't make sense to have them on once you get into the zone. You haven't done much to wreck havoc yet.

I actually like reading those long PDA entries and/or other recovered information written by random characters in the Zone. Like that thing about sleeping with your head in a bucket to get rid of the nightmares (this was particularly interesting because one could relate the mysterious psi-radiation).

Just finished playing all of the Stalker games again. Although I have to say I spent the most time on Stalker SoC because of visible artifacts. Loved going hunting in the night for the artifacts, looking through my binoculars seeing that familiar glow of an artifact in the distance, then all of a sudden the roar of a couple bloodsuckers. Fuck.

Which one should i reinstall shoc or cop?

Oh god, LURK is AWESOME. I was hanging around in the Cordon, and I decided to ambush the three patrolling soldiers for an AK to take on the group at the bridge, and I attracted a little too much attention. As in, the ENTIRE FUCKING COMPANY of soldiers. I hung around for a few minutes and picked off the six that got too close, and decided to high tail it back to sid's bunker. After selling a couple of the AK's I got, I suddenly hear gunshots outside. The military was attacking the STALKER camp. I went outside to help them, and we all wound up killing 10 soldiers.....and only lost two men. Yes, TWO. I proceeded to get rich on the soldier's guns, and bought myself an SKS, which I used to snipe all the soldiers at the bridge. I also decided to go and kill the rest of the soldiers at the Cordon, so, I go up to them with an AK-103 and my SKS. There were only three left, including the captain. So apparently, me and the STALKERs managed to kill almost the entire Cordon of soldiers. I found a big box with documents in it that I can't sell to Sid, and the Captain's automatic pistol. Now all I need to do is figure out what the hell to do with this box of documents. EDIT: oh, and I also left some Ak's that were in good condition by the campfire for the STALKERs. Some of them took the guns, so now I feel all nice and stuff. I hope shit this interesting happens in the garbage.

I bought Shadow of Chernobyl on the day of release and my computer couldn't run it. I upgraded it a bit here and there but it was still a piece of shit. I replaced my 7+ year old computer a couple of days ago and I just installed STALKER. I'm loving it but finding it incredibly hard, having to load after dying is a pain in the ass. Also, is there a way to quicksave? Going to the game menu every time I do a little better is getting tedious.

Just look in the damn options for a quicksave keybind it's F5 or F6 by default iirc, also remember to move the quickload to F9 or something similar so you don't accidentally press it

Look through the options, it lists every single control. I always use a custom config so I don't know what the defaults are so I can't tell you offhand what it is.
