Don't check filefront for the newest versions, use the GSC forums or AMK forums or whatever your mod comes from. In TFW's case, GSC forums

Just read on the wiki that they cut a .223 pistol, damn that would of been awesome.

I'd much rather they bring back mounted PKMs and P90 first.

P90, eh. Mounted PKMs, would be cool but not particularly useful. .223 Pistol, hand-held badass.

And yet .22's are piss weak in comparison to a full 5.56mm aren't they? Similar exterior dimensions, but different velocity and stuff I think?

In .22 the overall length is smaller and there's less propellant so yes

The .223 Pistol was meant to fire the Rifle round. There was a .223 pistol in Fallout so it's likely comparable to that. Also, Big Ben, the Deagle near Gordon Freeman fires 9x39 rifle rounds, that should be an even bigger mystery.
