Why is there a < br> in my quick reply box :psyduck:
It seems like it's simpler to install the retail version for people soup instead of steam version.
[editline]13th January 2011[/editline]
Oh by the way does people soup effect the graphics much, since my computer doesn't like that too much...
Barely noticeable. Although it's tough on the processor, due to tons of content.
Cracking STALKER doesn't count as warez since you will have to crack it sooner or later to play on an earlier version or due to SecuROM.
It's nice that the bandits in AMK+arsenal (practically the same as AMK:SE, except I put it together myself with a few other mods e.g. texture and weather mods) drop 7N1 7.62x54mmR ammo, that stuff actually allows me to snipe military all the way at their outpost from the crossroad at the village. The surplus isn't too bad, either; I am now honestly confused how people are having trouble hitting stuff with it. Though admittedly, I agree that the sights on the non-scope nugget are really shit i.e. such a big fat post on the site doesn't allow great precision.
They never drop 7N1 for me. :saddowns:

Exactly, the surplus is fine :3:
I hate megaupload so much.
I need to try the scoped Nagant. Sid owes me some shit for finding his damn Stone Flowers and puppy dog's tails. I'll sink some of my profits into the rifle. If it's shit, it goes into Sid's box along with some of my emergency supplies.
That said, it's getting to the point where I'd like to be able to fast travel to Cordon. I know it's lazy and not Stalkerly at all, but I'm done there. Being able to hop in and spend some time with the rookies is a good diversion.
I haven't played a Stalker for a while does anyone have a link to this AMK SE I remember the old AMK being my favourite SHoC mod years ago.
edit:
Oh god I've seen people soup how on earth do I work out where to begin, that GSC forum post confuses me

GSC are trying to establish some questions between the western community and the Eastern European community.

But that's like putting a native that has never seen modern civilazition next to your average American in a room and telling them to strenghten the bonds between eachother.
Interesting.
Interesting.
This is a very cool idea. I think both sides of the community have a lot to offer the other, and hey - we're all brothers in the Zone, right?
As a mod maker ('fashion designer' in Russian!) I have an inside view into the differences between our two communities, and it would be great to break down some of those barriers and get the two of us interacting more!
Das vidanya!
- Alex Kane, UK.
that you thorny?
Certainly is!
Shit, apparently it's a plan to integrate us into the C-Conciousness. Why did I put my name down :frown:
Okey i'm downloading the last part of soup people, i have the game patched to 1.4 what else do i need to do or is that it?
They never drop 7N1 for me. :saddowns:
Does AMK:SE use the latest version of AMK Arsenal?

Hey, fuck you, I'm eastern european. And shit is alright in here

I didn't have too many problems splitting wigs with the unscoped, but the front sight blade should be a bit slimmer. I could also work the both action of a real rifle at least 30% quicker than my character ingame, and I typically shoot left-handed.
I do feel like the game could do with some more bolt-actions; I'll be grabbing the scoped variant.
A little update on the comic.
I was drawing the interiors of the bar when it struck me. I shouldn't make a comic like that, I should make a game.
Gotta just say sorry to Zezibesh because this new idea has drilled itself deep in my head and sealed the hole.
A stalker game made in Java. Sliiightly similiar to Minecraft except for withouth the blocks. Don't you guys worry, It's gonna look like Stalker (kinda) (allthough there are gonna be floaty hands for practical reasons).
Open worlds familiar from the original game (allthough altered for practicality again) with things you recognize.
Main Features:
- Dynamic AI, something that makes stalker special is the AI that actually has the capacity to do something on it's own. (the AI is going to be reliant on using a lot of AI hint nodes)
- Taking full advantage of the technical limitations of a engine based on Java. (low poly models, no fancy graphical effects, simulated physics, et.c.)
- Being also an art project to show off that you don't need superb graphics to make a nice looking game.
- A dynamic quest system (missions ranging from fetch quests to assassinations and assaults and factions specific quests).
Other Features:
- A rank and reputation system based on the one in Shadow of Chernobyl (having a reputation of a serial killer will raise the chance of someone being sent to kill you or coming for revenge, the assassin sent might be another player).
- Good ol' mutants (ranging from civilian zombies and snorks to Psuedogiants and Chimeras).
- Faction Wars (Factions have their regular skirmishes and they take over different outposts)
- Vehicles with an alternative for regular physics engine based vehicle physics
- Last but not least MULTIPLAYER (and the biggest reason it should be made)

Would be nice if they continued with a 1.2 of LURK and added the other weapons added by the second Arsenal, which includes a whole bunch of bolt-actions.

If you're from eastern europe may ask what's with the Finnish username?

Really need to get that myself. The iron sight of the nugget is practically as bad as the crude shotgun's :gonk: Ironically I just spent most of my money on a sawn-off TOZ-34 so I could get rid of those pesky dogs without spending rifle ammo.
On a different note, it's interesting how in AMK I don't have a detector going off when I'm about to step into an anomaly, yet I've not done so since I started playing. Guess the absence of a detector made me more cautious, nice.
If you're from eastern europe may ask what's with the Finnish username?
Finland is located at the eastern border of Europe, hell, most of the Western world still consider Finland as former Eastern-block country (which it wasn't).
Was up for a tough fight with a Pseudogiant, but it decided to commit suicide in the nearest anomaly instead.

My stash at the Bar. (yes, I know i'm a weakling faggot for modifying the inventory weight. I seriously can't help it, like i've got OCD or something; I have to collect everything, like I did back when I played Diablo II :/ )

Sounds awesome.
Also, what the hell are those red cannisters for in AMK? I can't find any use for them and nowhere seems to buy them.

True but i personally concider our glorious country as part of northern-Europe/Scandinavia.

I consider Finland a close neighbor and friend of Sweden :3:
Technically it's closer to being classified as part of Scandinavia, or at the very least the "Nordic countries".

Good luck with that bro, it's ambitious to be sure.

What weather and texture mods are you using with SE? thanks
What weather and texture mods are you using with SE? thanks
Photorealistic Zone and SWO 2.2.2 (not using SWO 3 as that doesn't work properly in static lighting, and doesn't have a ready-made compatibility patch with AMK 1.4)
