Am I the only one who can't stand playing AMK? The view is so wavey that it's impossible to shoot without the damn crosshairs, it's like I'm already drunk. And the damn view keeps spazzing out and I can't find the damn file to fix it.
If you're talking about when you get shot in succession, then just type this in console: cam_inert 0 It fixed it for me
Anyone have a list of features that exist in both SGM amd AMK: SE?
Move to a new zone? Of course I would like to.
Ugh, this mod is going from difficult, to absurd. I was on a platform unreachable by mutants, and then this izlom literally floats up through the air, and onto the platform I was on

Here's the first part of my attempt at Doom's story idea!
Despite the radiation, the birds of Chernobyl seemed to be flourishing. It was a sunny day in the Zone, and Vicik was walking through the woods, passing from bright sunlight to darkened shade thanks to the multitude of trees in the area – this particular area of woodland had not suffered the fate of the Worm Wood Forest, and the trees were still shrouded in deep-green leaves. The air around him seemed to be filled with the sounds of denizens of the air, but he was able to at least confine the noise to the back of his mind and focus on his reason for being here. Out on a standard artifact hunting mission, the man pondered his situation while he walked, mindful to keep an eye out for his precious quarry. Twenty six years of age, the stalker had left a life of crime in the Big Land for a life of relentless work within the Zone. Artifact prices were at an all time low and he had to find more and more all the time to pay for damage to his suit and weaponry, as well as food and drink. He had been told in the 100 Rads bar that this area of forest was little-exploited, and that there were artifacts-galore just waiting to be picked up. So far, this tale was looking like the regular crock of bullshit regular patrons of the Bar spouted to put even the slightest interest into their unfulfilling lives. Despite this, Vicik was determined for this not to be a wasted trip and so continued walking. He had so far been lucky not to encounter the regular mutant fare that infested the zone of alienation, but had also not met any of his fellow Stalker brethren. At least then there would be the chance for a drink and a trading of stories with a potentially interesting brother-in-arms. As he walked, he began to notice something strange – the noise of birds, which had previously been so loud, was no longer present. As well as this, the sound of the wind itself had gone. Previously whittling its way between the branches of the forest trees, it was as quiet as the grave, despite the fact that Vicik could actually see the leaves and grass moving. Unsettled, he decided to continue his quest – he had to find some loot or he'd go hungry tonight. Walking deeper into the woods, still with a total lack of any sound but his own footsteps, breathing and movement of gear, the stalker happened across the rotting corpse of a man, dressed in an outfit typical of the bandit faction. 'Good riddance' he said to himself as he helped himself to the dead man's supplies, including a very nice Walther P99 pistol – that would fetch a fair price back in Rostok. Happy with his loot but unnerved by the lack of visible cause of death in the bandit, he continued on his way. The soft strains of a guitar made Vicik's ears prick up and he stopped dead in his tracks. Where before there was almost total silence, his head was now filled with the efforts of a seemingly very good guitar player. Happy at the chance to take a break, rest his legs, have a drink and swap tales, he began to make his way towards where he thought the sound was coming from, suppressing a peculiar feeling that much of the sound was actually originating within his own head. As he walked, human voices became clearly distinguishable from the guitar, though he could not make out what they were saying. As he passed around a large bush in his path, he spotted a small campfire burning brightly in a clearing, surrounded by four stalkers sitting in a circle, one with a guitar, two examining a glowing object they held, and the last sitting with his legs crossed, seemingly deep in thought. Approaching the group, Vicik smiled and went to put his hand on the nearest man's shoulder, only for it to pass through completely, with the stalker in question and his partner, as well as the guitar player, disappearing. His eyes shot wide open and he took a step back, noticing that the stalker who was sat cross-legged was still present. Quickly, he shouted at him; 'What's going on?! Who are you!' The stalker raised his head slightly and his hood moved back, revealing the horrible face of a Controller. Instantly, a thousand voices began whispering in his head with desperate, ghostly voices. Give up... Vicik stumbled backwards, reaching for the weapon on his back when he is hit by a huge migraine and almost doubles over in pain, clutching his head. Weak... He unfolds himself and finds his gaze drawn back to the controller when suddenly his view is pulled towards its face and he can see the multitude of scars it bears, as well as the rotten teeth in its leering mouth. His view is returned to normal, but now his head is pounding with a severity he has never experienced. End it... He is knocked to the ground by some invisible force and fire engulfs the trees around the clearing as the sky burns. The voices in his head are stronger than ever. There is no escape. Kill yourself. So weak. You cannot resist us... Vicik scrambles behind a log before the controller can pull his consciousness towards it again, pulling out his assault rifle and readying it for firing. He pops put from behind the log and fires a burst at the monster before diving back into cover. He hears a guttural roar of pain and stars burst in his head....
If you like it, I'll finish it tomorrow as I'm really tired right now. Probably detectable in the latter half of this first part to be honest.

So if the 1.0006 version was recalled, then how is it that EVERY single network game available uses 1.0006 only. Is there a new update for 1.0006?

Is there a new update for 1.0006?
It's available via Hispano patcher if you are desperate for it. I dunno why servers use it though, it WAS recalled. I guess GSC news doesn't exactly reach every corner of the planet or something, I dunno
I've come up with a working way to easily add sleep zones through LTX. No need for restriction_zones or anything like that. I pick a center for it, then compare the x,y,z to the players x,y,z. After subtracting one from the other and getting the absolute value, I compare the absolute value to a distance set for each plane in the LTX. This creates a box that's only "real" when comparisons are being done. If the player is within the box, he is allowed to sleep.

So I'm trying to get into the Army Warehouses, and turns out I have to buy the directions from Snitch. Well, that can't be too bad, I thought. Oh how I was wrong... I walked into the Bar and talked to Snitch. He said he could reveal the path for..........wait for it........... 100,000 fucking rubles
People soup sounds tough. You'd be amazing if you beat the game with it
It's frustrating. You know what's the hilarious part, though? [sp]I'm only playing on novice[/sp] That should show how difficult this mod is [editline]13th January 2011[/editline] Also, here's a bandit in the process of floating up to a sniper tower to spite me:

After killing Kruglov for his flashdrive due to his walking into an anomaly glitch, I ran back to Rostok, and on the way I heard a growl. I jumped on one of the tower things, then I saw a pseudogiant, while fighting it, I heard a bloodsucker too. I'm so glad there were ladders. My game's crashing with this error: Expression : ini_file.section_exist(section) Function : CTradeParameters::process File : e:\stalker\sources\trunk\xr_3da\xrgame\trade_parameters_inline.h Line : 111 Description : cannot find section misc\trade_generic.ltx Any ideas on how to fix this? [editline]Now[/editline] And the file trade_generic.ltx is in the misc folder.
Your gamedata folder is missing the trade_generic.ltx file. What mod are you using?
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/tqk1X.jpg[/img_thumb] The true wizard artifact. :frogc00l:
Haven't been in this thread in ages. What mod are you using to get that?
Your gamedata folder is missing the trade_generic.ltx file. What mod are you using?
I'm using AMK + Arsenal
These bandits don't give a damn about their friend...They're letting a controller eat him. Also note how Dogman is alerting people of a dog in cordon
