broken dr.evil picture :frown:
Well, it's not like artifacts in SoC were balanced in the first place. The only time I've ever found any of the really good ones are in random rare stashes. (I found ancient glassbeads in a stash in the Freedom base, did the artifact changing thing to turn it into that)
Some weren't useful, but in that way they aren't overpowered.
amk se?? A new version of amk?
AMK: Sidorovich Edition. It's just AMK with arsenal mod, and goes with 1.0005
Where can I find a basic modding guide for CoP or ShoC? I remember a thread on another forum (probably gsc) that showed how to modify what traders sell.
So I'm doing the mission for Sid where you have to retrieve the briefcase from the military outpost. I sneak over, go through a broken part of the fence, and jump on concrete slabs. I peek over, and see a soldier walking. He suddenly notices me but I take him out before he can shoot me. Suddenly, a helicopter appears out of nowhere and unleashes a barrage of bullets and rockets at me, just milliseconds after killing the soldier. They miss me, and end up killing 3 other soldiers :v:
AMK: Sidorovich Edition. It's just AMK with arsenal mod, and goes with 1.0005
Ehhh, I'll just stick with my LURK.
Ehhh, I'll just stick with my LURK.
They are both very good mods, but I like AMK better. It's not as boring imo. Plus it keeps in line with the original stalker 'style'
Great, now I'm trapped in the outpost by a btr, a helicopter, and a bunch of soldiers with exo. So much for stealth...
Great, now I'm trapped in the outpost by a btr, a helicopter, and a bunch of soldiers with exo. So much for stealth...
Drink your vodka and await your death.
If it's in a .zip/.rar/whatever, then open it. Go to gamedata/config/misc, take the trade_generic.ltx file and put it in your gamedata folder and in the same sub-folder
Thanks for the possible fix, but the trade_generic.ltx file was not missing from its rightful home in gamedata/config/misc. I also tried copying the original file from the zip and overwriting the existing trade_generic.ltx file, but that didn't work either. I ended up reverting to an earlier save and the problem seems to have disappeared. For now at least. [editline]Now[/editline] Can anyone link me to the Photorealistic Zone mod? The only download I found was a compatibility patch for Oblivion Lost.
Great, now I'm trapped in the outpost by a btr, a helicopter, and a bunch of soldiers with exo. So much for stealth...
Probably been asked before, but how did you get the normal AMK HUD in NS?
Wow there aren't any graphical enhancements included in AMK:SE are there? I just installed it and tried out Kingo's shaders for the first time and holy shit it looks like I'm playing LURK, except with 100000fps!
Probably been asked before, but how did you get the normal AMK HUD in NS?
It came with the file I downloaded
Reposting for new page :colbert:
Awesome!
The mission was a success. I quickly jumped over the fence, took out the patrol, ran into the barracks, shot the soldiers, picked up the antigravity suit and the briefcase, and booked it out of there. I went over to the rookie camp, only to realize the worst: everybody was being slaughtered. It was those mercenaries that Fanatic had warned me about, the warning I had thrown off so carelessly. I quickly went into action, taking out the mercenaries one by one. After 10 minutes, it was over. Out of the 16 people there, only four had survived: Fanatic, Nimble, and a couple others. I went over to Fanatic and tended to his wounds. As I was heading towards Sid's bunker, I heard the sound of rotors spinning, and the sound grew louder. "Oh fuck, what have I done?" I thought to myself. I heard soldiers yelling, moving in on the camp. I couldn't let them finish us off, I had to do something. I took off running, away from the camp. As I had planned, the helicopter followed me. I quickly ran under a bridge, where a couple of stalkers were playing guitar and socializing. The helicopter shot a barrage of rockets, and ended up killing one of the stalkers, and wounding the other. It passed by overhead and was turning around. I shouldn't have attack the outpost so late, I shouldn't have gone towards the rookie camp afterwards, but most of all, I should have listened to Fanatic. Based on a true story
Also holy shit I've been laughing at glitch's stories about People Soup :v: [editline]14th January 2011[/editline] Makes me want to play it even though it's so fucking frustrating and badly translated.
Above story isn't funny, it's sad :saddowns: And also I'm gonna translate it, when I get the time to do it The Aftermath: Note the condition of my armor Gah, the military keeps attacking the rookie camp. They just killed Nimble
FUUUU- I didn't know AMK added alcohol poisoning. Drank 2 bottles of gunsmith and about 8 of normal vodka and then suddenly GAME OVER. I check to see when my last save was, and because I'd only been using quicksave, the only other save was the 'all' save created at the START OF THE GAME. I was unintentionally playing iron man mode. Oh well, only lost about an hour anyways, I just started so no biggie. I guess you could technically say I won the game though, as I believe the goal was to inebriate yourself to the point of no return.
Above story isn't funny, it's sad :saddowns:
That's not sad, this is sad: I had just finished selling some goods to Sidorovich when I walk out of his bunker to notice everyone in Cordon panicking. Everyone in the base ran towards the fence and huddled together, probably for protection :v:. A couple hundred meters away from them was Nimble, running towards the military outposts, brandishing his pistol like a mad man. I chased after him, trying to stand in front of his path so that he would realize that he was running into certain death. He wouldn't listen to me, but I knew I couldn't let him go alone. So we ran forward, managing to take down four of the soldiers. I hid behind a tree, reloading my weapon. When I peeked out, I saw Nimble running towards the two tanks that guarded the passage. I yelled, "Nimble, NO!". But it was too late, the pigs had slaughtered that poor rookie. I wanted to run out into the open and drag his body back to camp...no man should be left to rot in the zone. The other part of me knew that I would just be gunned down. Sometimes I think back to the day I found Nimble. He was hurt badly, lying on the ground near a storage container. I gave him a med-kit and he told me a story of how he had survived a blowout and a snork. Nimble was a good man and a good 'friend'. :ussr:
Still nothing for the photorealistic mod

And I'm not sure why, but the helicopter's weapons can pierce through concrete, but they couldn't do anything against an outhouse I was hiding it. Kinda funny, but now I don't think there are any outhouses in C.N.P.P. Third pageking in a row, wooo
wow, Im only 1 hour into my new game of CoP and have already made 100000 ru
Just ordered a new computer! In a couple of weeks I'll be stalkin' in style! :buddy:
I decided to go into one of the new areas: Forgotten Forest. I entered, not knowing what to expect. When it loaded I manuevered around a big boulder and what happened next was terrifying: chimeras, chimeras everywhere
I hope Nimble returns in STALKER 2. He's bro [editline]14th January 2011[/editline]
I decided to go into one of the new areas: Forgotten Forest. Nimble ain't no rookie, he's the best stalker in the whole series. Also why do you say 'friend'? :ohdear:
