I've just noticed I dominate 1 or 2 pages, but since I sleep until the afternoon, there are 2 or 3 pages where my presence isn't felt. sorta like an emission :downs:
So, I've been playing this game for a while now, and I'd like to say; This game is hard as fuck. But beautiful and fun.
12k roubles, is like £250 or like $450 Think about it, the PDA and Rucksack you'd be carrying wouldn't be cheap in the first place, so it wouldn't exactly be cheap to repair either.
This always bothered me in the game, sure seeing prices like 20k rubles seems big but in reality it's not. That's why I used UAH in my story instead, since it's worth a lot more.
No no, artifacts are actual objects lying around. The odd distortions in the air you were talking about are anomalies, and should be avoided. If you haven't found any artifacts yet, that's OK. You'll most likely be seeing a LOT of them in the next area (follow your quest arrow).
Still haven't seen any of those. Later today I'll play a little more, wander around looking for a trader a bit more and if I don't find any, i'll just leave the body be.
OK, that was pretty fucked. Started a new game in OL, did the first mission, ready to head for the Garbage and WHOOP MILITARY ALERT HERE COME THE GRUNTS. I didn't think it would be too bad--maybe get some good loot, help the loners. Little did I know I was now playing G.R.E.N.A.D.E: Shadow of Grenades. Stsy in cover for 5 seconds? HERE COMES A GRENADE. Try to shoot someone? GRENADE. Three guys in front of me? ALL OF THEM THROW GRENADES. Even the rookie loners were throwing grenades. WHERE DID YOU EVEN GET THOSE Anyway, many quickloads later, I finally picked up an AK74 that wasn't broken and wiped out the squad. Wolf is still alive! :buddy:
Yay people seemed to like part 1 of the story :3: [editline]14th January 2011[/editline] Also I agree, Clear Sky Red Forest was fucking badass and I'm going to do my best to get it into CoP.
Hooray! Now the dozens of bloodsuckers there will be EVEN SCARIER with their CoP complete invisibility and face-sucking.
I'm also aiming to include the SoC Red Forest as well.
If you're going to connect the two, you should put a level changer from the forest area in the SoC map (western side of the RF in SoC) that comes out in the densely forested area near the tunnel in the CS RF.
I'm currently playing LURK and the 30 kg weight limit is not fun at all, it makes the game feel like all I do is haul shit across the Zone. So is there any way to change the weight limit?
Hey guys. I decided to get back in to Stalker recently, and I installed AMK:SE but I have a large problem. I just started the game and there exist absolutely no lights whatsoever in the gameworld. Nothing. I'm talking zip, not a thing. No sun, no fires, nothing. I can't see shit. I tried fiddling with the dynamic lighting effects and other graphical settings but that didn't fix it. Did anyone else get this? Help!
Yup. Go into config/creatures/actor.ltx and change "max_walk_weight" to 10 MORE than you want your max weight to be. Then go into gamedata/system.ltx and find the entry under "inventory" that governs max weight and set it to 10 LESS than "max_walk_weight."
I'm also aiming to include the SoC Red Forest as well.
Will you try to edit the Brain Scorcher so the place is all shot up and collapsed, along with the antennas?

This is the maximum weight you can carry and still run. Change it to whatever you want. Next value is in creatures and open actor.ltx. Find max_walk_weight and change it to whatever. This is the absolute maximum weight you can carry while still walking. Once they are high enough, you can carry whatever you want.

EDIT: Bollocks, ninja'd :/
Will you try to edit the Brain Scorcher so the place is all shot up and collapsed, along with the antennas?
Seeing as this takes place pre-SoC, no, the scorcher will still be active :3:
Seeing as this takes place pre-SoC, no, the scorcher will still be active :3:
Will it be possible to get reasonably close to it i.e. in the Scorcher compound itself?
Will it be possible to get reasonably close to it i.e. in the Scorcher compound itself?
I'll probably work something out so that you can get Sakharov to give you a super-prototype of the psi-helmet, or some awesome psi-protection artifact or something.
Seeing as this takes place pre-SoC, no, the scorcher will still be active :3:
Oh. Well will you try implementing the stalker spawns similar to that one picture which showed my concept of a heavily patroled and guarded Zone, featuring no Duty and Freedom?
Expression : vertex || show_restrictions(m_object) Function : CPatrolPathManager::select_point File : E:\stalker\sources\trunk\xr_3da\xrGame\patrol_path_manager.cpp Line : 155 Description : any vertex in patrol path [bar_ambush_killer_3_walk] in inaccessible for object [bar_ambush_killer_03]
Ffff- Damnit AMK:SE. Has anyone got a save around the point at which you go from Rostok to the Wild Territory for the first time? [editline]14th January 2011[/editline]
Oh. Well will you try implementing the stalker spawns similar to that one picture which showed my concept of a heavily patroled and guarded Zone, featuring no Duty and Freedom?
Which picture?
Which picture?
Here I'll get it for yo----god damn it I deleted it. Well basically the Military presence would be a lot larger, there would be no Duty and Freedom, the barrier would be held by Military, Rostok would have about only 20 stalkers(Bar and WT together), there would be Spetsnaz and chopper patrols in Cordon, Garbage, Dark Valley and Agroprom and every military outpost would be guarded by a military squad and the general presence of stalkers would be a lot smaller than it is in SoC.
I'll probably work something out so that you can get Sakharov to give you a super-prototype of the psi-helmet, or some awesome psi-protection artifact or something.
Compass, maybe? It's known that some of the old Zone veterans have gotten past the Scorcher without protection, and many of them have the Compass artifact. Also IIRC the brain scorching isn't always one, it kinda happens in waves, at least at Yantar as you witness in CS.

The brain scorcher worked at full capacity at all times due to maintenace, althrough it's radius got reduced when one of the antennas nearly fell down on the base.

Utterly agree. Ah, no, I asked for Marsh, Limansk and possibly the hospital, but I did also mean the Red Forest in that
Hey guys, any help for a returning Stalker? Please?
Hey guys, any help for a returning Stalker? Please?
Well, maybe we could help if you specify your problem

I don't really see the point. I think in the Zone the stalkers would use either both, or some foreign currency like euro. It's not that they pay in cash, anyway.
I did, above. Everybody just seemed to ignore it. I'll re-post it down here then: Hey guys. I decided to get back in to Stalker recently, and I installed AMK:SE but I have a large problem.
