I'm assuming the little bug I encountered the other day is fixed up? I just got done playing a bit more AMK v.Sid; I decided to sleep through the night in the Garbage. Woke up to an imminent blowout. Had to haul ass to the Cordon, where I chugged a bottle of vodka and waited the emission out. I cautiously stepped through the roadblock and was making my way back to the Rookie Village when I got ambushed by a shitload of tushkanos and dogs, dogs everywhere. My MP5 and Bes's AK (he sold it to me, wtf) lit up the pre-dawn with muzzle flashes until the beasts were killed. I heard gunfire to my south and arrived at the bridge just tin time to see a group of loners being mauled by a pseudodog. As I opened up with some 9mm dog repellent, a fucking chimera runs over a rise and charges me full-on. I dumped the remaining ~15 rounds into it while backpedaling; suprisingly, the hellish thing died. I checked on the two remaining loners, giving one of them an AK-74su from his fallen comrade. Just then, a group of bandits descend on us, probably hoping to kill and rob us in our weakened state from battling the mutants. I manage to take them out with Bes's AK and a burst from my MP5. I give my loner buddies a couple mp5s and a shotgun, bid them good luck, and make my way back to the village. All in a day's work, I suppose.

Anybody wanna recommended some good SHoC mods? I play on static lighting. I've played Complete and LURK, so is there anything else worth trying?
I killed the second one with about... 70 or so 5.45 shots and then 10 buckshot rounds. But now I have a .50 deagle (That Skull dropped after he died to a dog), I've been... testing it on Freedom. Works wonderfully. :v:
I was offput by its low accuracy and damage, but does the murderforce of a .50AE round make up for that? I need a good mutant-killin' gun.
Wow, turns out the 2nd download of people soup doesn't exist anymore. Is there another upload that doesn't take 8 hours to finish?
I was offput by its low accuracy and damage, but does the murderforce of a .50AE round make up for that? I need a good mutant-killin' gun.
Haven't actually shot a mutant yet. Just Freedomers. :v: It usually kills them in one shot, sometimes incapacitating them. I might have to downgrade to a .44 one eventually though, Barkeep doesn't sell .50AE rounds. But it's just so awesome and manly sounding.
Unless you're packing a big shotgun you better just steer clear of the pseudogiants, if that's an option. If you must fight one, keep on the move and just unload everything into it. Use the environment to your advantage, try to force it to navigate around obstacles to get you and (even climb out of range if you can). You can naturally kill it by keeping the distance great enough so that its ground slam attacks are less effective, but that requires a LOT of ammo.
Heh, the first Pseudogiant I ran into was in the X18 lab. It was hostile and kept running towards me but I just didn't enter the room it was in and it couldn't get past the door.
[release][img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/IOLhm.jpg[/img_thumb][/release]
Awesome kingo, I can finally play on other settings other than static lighting. You are awesome, keep up the amazing work.
So I load up the warehouse area and walk forward to see some freedom guys telling me to, "Stop right there". Suddenly, they all die and out of the bushes emerge three duty guys. I talk to one who gloats about killing them so fast. As soon as I stop talking to him, the zone thinks it's a good time for a blowout. So I sprint behind these duty guys in search of a shelter. After the blowout, I walk out of our makeshift shelter and head on to kill some traitor stalker. On my way to him, I'm ambushed by two fucking pseudogiants which proceed to rape me several times. I finally manage to kill them by climbing on top of a smallish building and unloading all my ammo. At this time I've got about 100 rounds of 5.56 ammo... Continuing on to do the mission I'm SUPPOSED to do, I finally see the traitor and kill him cleanly from a distance. I run up to him, pick up some ammo and low-and-behold I see a loner named "Scarecrow" that I think I've seen before. I talk to him, but before I even say a word everything goes white then black. I suddenly fell asleep... Once I wake up, I orient myself and walking in from the NorthEast is fucking Bes--walking like a goddamn champ. I whip out my binoculars and look off to check out the terrain he came from...anomalies EVERYWHERE, and those are only the ones I can see. Well fine, whatever. So I notice a whole bunch of duty and bandit corpses everywhere, and I proceed to loot them. I find a special Lenfield L85A2 (tactical) and a groza that can use 5.56 ammo. I walk up, continuing to check the corpses when I get ambushed by two of those tiny shit creatures that run around so fast that you can't hit them with bullets. All done. Now as I continue forward to check out another dead bandit I get hit by something (tell me if you know what it is) that makes my vision go blurry and then white for a second. I whip out my binoculars and look around, nothing. So I get back to checking out the dead bandit when I hear some huffing and puffing, like something was furiously jacking off and then out of NO-FUCKING-WHERE I get slashed. I start spraying my lenfield everywhere, but this goddamn mutant is invisible. Ten seconds later, I start getting mauled by 5 more claws and I'm just spamming my medkits. Anyways, I've got a quicksave right after the "Marked One" decides he's going to randomly pass out in the middle of the zone. But I'm not sure how to deal with what appears to be 6 bloodsuckers. Any tips?
find ladders or something above ground and shoot them from there
So, now that I have all this godly gear, I decided I'd saunter on back to the Cordon to raid the military checkpoint. NOPE, BTR MACHINEGUN TO THE FACE. Loaded my save, decided to flank the fucker and knife it to death since I lack an RPG7. Sprinting, avoiding bullets, about to outflank it... NOPE, FUCKING SECOND BTR BACKING HIM UP. My body flew about 30 meters back into an anomaly :suicide: [editline]8th January 2011[/editline] When hunting bloodsuckers in the Army Warehouses, make use of the old barn on the eastern side of the village. Not only does the ladder-accessible hayloft make for a great sniping position (you can fire on the Freedomers by the campfire and, on the other side, the water tower), you can get onto the roof if you carefully jump onto the beam over the door and climb up :eng101:

However, they just run around so fast that I can barely get any shots off. How many shots does it take to kill one? I tested it out by going 1 on 1 with a bloodsucker and I unloaded about 400 rounds point blank into it and it didn't die?

Or you're playing Clear Sky, in which case, the blooduscker is invulnerable when cloaked.

I kept reloading my save testing my different guns. My OC-14 Groza with 9x39 SP5 ammo killed the bloodsucker in about 5 shots. However, my other guns, which use 5.45 or 5.56 never killed it. Glitch? Edit: And I'm playing ShoC and I know I hit it because I could see the blood effects.
I just finished CoP, but I think I should start again and finish EVERY mission I can, Is that a good idea and not sell the PDA's to Owl. Oh and try and keep most main/important people alive. Also what mod would be the best for it if I were to replay the original story.
Mother of god.
oh god, hahahahahaha
Mother of god.
hahaha, vaginas are the only true anomaly in the zone.

That's a lot harder than it seems though. I just did the same thing tonight. :v:
Ok, there has got to be something wrong with my game. I unloaded 600 rounds of 5.56 ammo into a bloodsucker that was right next to me, and it didn't die. I then use some 9x39 and it dies in a couple of shots :ohdear: JoeSibilant, is AMK Sidorovich edition the only mod you're using? If so, would you be able to give me one of your save files from when you first got to the bar. If you have one, of course.

Nobody has any mod recommendations for SHoC? :downs: Also, is adding realistic weapons to Complete a good idea?
Dude, the OP is FULL of mod recommendations. x1 Bad Reading.
wait redux is a "makes the game harder" mod isn't it
I've clocked about 80 hours on normal SHOC, and I've heard you guys talking about 'AMK', so I re-installed SHOC, and installed AMK:SE and so far(im in the cordon) it's great, but I hate how it's been rainy and cloudy for quite a bit, is there a way to fix this? Is one of those 'natural' clear weather mods compatible with AMK:SE?
bad thread title kill yourself seriously
:smith: huh? Dying is illegal so I won't allow it.

Now, this is being lucky with quicksaving.
