I don't like the name because it's not really LURK at all, apart from the player models/anims. I feel like the mod has more appeal (and fun) than LURK does. That said, it seems like the only name proposal that's going anywhere.

Dear Diary: Fuck my life.
After a sucessful attack on the two main military outposts and mourning the death of Nimble with the other 11 stalkers at the rookie camp, I decided to go North and see if there is anything new going on in Rostok, and maybe say hi to Bes and co. on the way there. Seeing as the main path towards the garbage was now open for all stalkers thanks to me and my Moist Nugget, I went onwards. On my way there I realized something.
Fox has been killed.
After checking his corpse for wounds I realized that he got clawed to death by a pack of dogs. Seeing as he already knew how to handle the critters fine with low equipment I wondered how did they manage to finally get him. After trying to reach the stash not too far from Fox's grave, I found my answer.

It was the pseudodog army! Damn these bastards, why do they always appear in the worst moment?
The bitches were tough, there was around 20 of them and they ate up quite a bit of my buckshots. Luckily, the Winchester is not the thing to be fucked with.

Damn these fucking dogs, I don't even wanna know what awaits me in the Valley and Yantar when I arrive there!
Upon trying to reach the final checkpoint, I got attacked by the dogs [I]again[/I]. Obviously I ran back to the rock and decided to deal with them the same way. The thing went smoothly.

After looting the death truck and getting myself a nice Merc suit and an SSP-99 suit(!) I decided to fuck it and go back to Sidorovich so I can replenish my equipment and sell what I had too much(dog tails).
However, I realized that the real adventure begins right now.
Upon laying down to sleep in the bunker and get myself some rest I saw something strange flash on my PDA.

I should talk to Barkeep about this tomorrow, and maybe find Kostya Baton when I reach the lab, however, that is bandit territory, after all.

Doom's Mega Mod Merge (DMMM) sounds like a nice idea.
Right, so I need to write, or have written, a script whereby all stalkers drop all the items they've collected in their lifetime, except for guitars, harmonicas, hand radios and flashlights, or if they're a specified NPC (the traders). Those items get removed, and dead traders have their inventories purged completely.
I've got 2 options:
* Learn to code
* Beg a coder to write it

I dont like that name. And his mod has Lurk's weapons, Lurk's models, Lurk's animations. Looks pretty Lurky to me. The only non-lurk thing it has is the graphics.

Freelurk isn't the real name. It's just the name I'm calling it for now.
Also I think I've found a bug. I finished the destroy the barrier quest for monolith, then I turned it in, then I accepted destroy the Duty patrol in Red Forest. And within an hour for accepting it, it says mission updated to accept payment or whatever(I guess muties got to them first). So I go to Charon to accept it, and it does it fine, but the issue is, I cant do any more monolith quests. It just says something like "Go now brother, the monolith is still unsure if you can do your task"

I'll have a look into that right now.

God, I hate it when mods to that mask overlay and don't do it properly. You don't see the middle when you look with two eyes, damnit.

That doesn't matter really. The overlay moves out of the way when using iron sights.

Yea, I know, it sucks. But that's why I'm planning to buy the SSP-99M or the SEVA suit as fast as possible! And the NVG for the Stalker Suit becomes annoying while using a scoped weapon.
Dear stalkers, i went to the bloodsucker village, and my god, did this new shooter come in handy. First my head starts spinning, probably a controller. I hunt it down and kill it. The spinning doesn't stop. I find the other controller, four bloodsuckers and an army of pseudodogs. I grab my PKM and let it sing it's sweet song of death. They died within 30 seconds, all of them. When a stalker in an exo grabs a fucking machine gun, even muties should know to run away. A Winchester 1300 is powerful, but a PKM with it's 150 ammo clip and 3000 reserver is something you NEVER want to face. You'd rather run into a blowout.
Ugh, had a terrible bug with a controller in Cordon with AMK:SE; after meeting a controller at the carpark the screenfuck and the screeching/blowing sound wouldn't go away until I restarted the game.

It's actually going pretty fast, you weren't here around the time period when the megathreads were more empty than Zaton after you finish all the quests.

Zaton was always empty...along with every other COP map. That's why it's my least favorite stalker.
I figure i'll work on the trader files. They're rather simple, if time consuming.
So basically, i'm planning on having the faction-specific traders offering a very limited selection of their faction's typical equipment plus ammo and attachments, but they'll offer this at a lower price than the non faction-specific traders. They, however, won't be able to pay as much for items you sell to them.
If I can figure it out, i'll also have them offer those goods at twice the price if you're not a member of their faction.
The non faction-specific traders will have the greatest range, but they'll be 20-50% more expensive than buying from your own trader (if your trader offers the same item)
Yay or nay? Any alternate suggestions?

I like this. Just be sure to put in alot of the faction's equipment. I have yet to see the monolith trader with VAL ammo.

The loners don't have their own trader, on account of not being a unified faction (this is why they're neutral to you as opposed to friendly)

It's chugging along at a steady pace at the moment, I remember when some veteran left because "it was becoming empty". Now it even has its own modders posting!

I'd play Clear Sky over COP. I just really hate that emptiness. And after you explore all the enterable buildings and hear the same irritating soundtrack(even after the game has a big mod, like redux) It's completely boring with nothing to do

So... If I go to a say, Duty trader they'd sell only their faction's equipment but at a lowered price? Sounds legit to me and it'd encourage the player to use mainly their faction's gear (the repair costs could be with the same system, with Duty repairing duty armors for cheap etc.) .
Btw, I don't know if you also design missions for diff. factions but guarding and escorting V.I.Ps could be a good random mission for the merc faction, eh ? Just throwing it out there..

Just throwing it out there..[/QUOTE]I haven't done anything with the tasks apart from implementing Glitch360's translations; the missions are as they were in Freeplay Start 1.21 vanilla, unfinished and all. Right now the priority is bugfixing (of which there are many :/ ), but that's a really good idea. The mercs do need to have a more diverse mission selection, else I might as well rename them "Assassins"
