Thanks for the offer but I don't think my iPhone's capable of running LBP2, I'm on my morning train at the moment.
What controller trick, though? Do you literally just shut off the controller if the load loops?

Haha, yeah. When it starts loading shut off the controller, and when it's done turn it back on. Gets me through every time.

That'll be nice to know once it's in the mail. Thanks :D
Does anyone know if LBP worth buying for the PSP?

Fuck I really want a PS3 for LBP2!
Just aced story mode. :buddy:
Yay, little big planet 2 game out... yay :smith:
I thought for some stupid reason it would come out this December, so I had plenty of time to save up for the collectors edition. But I go to buy Red dead redemption the other day, pay then look over at the big book of new games. And I see little big planet 2 came out. So no sackboy plush for me :smith:

At least Red Dead Redemption is awesome.
People are already acing the story mode :smith:
I'd love to ace the story mode and collect everything, but I'm too occupied with dicking around in the level editor
Ah, yes, LBP2 is officially at the post office. Now I just have to wait a few minutes, get my stuff ready, and go grab it.
Man, I can't wait!

Basically, you get the controls of Meat Boy. It's a work in progress though, so don't expect it to be perfect.
Press R1 for a surprise. (also a WIP)
A comment or two would be great :D
Add me on PSN so we can play. :buddy:
My PSN is patrickcollins

Playing it right now, it's pretty awesome. Things I noticed though: You can just hold down X when jumping up the walls to wall jump, the camera is too close, and you can get stuck when at a corner sometimes. I love the death effect, and the R1 music is AWESOME. Looking forward to a final release. :woop:
[editline]20th January 2011[/editline]
Oh, and he moves really slow and can't jump when not on wood.
Man, acing the final boss is a pain in the ass.
I had a hard time with it last night, but figured it out fairly fast. It's pretty simple once you get its patterns down.
END BOSS SPOILERS:
First, wait for him to shoot the initial laser, then roll to the right and take out the bubble on top. The key to beating this one without dying is being fast on popping the bubble and getting to the other side. Keep in mind, you can do that speed dash attack mid-air. (That has saved me many times)
The second stage is the hardest in my opinion. I found it easiest to just avoid grappling as much as you can, since the controls and predictability of the hook is pretty inconsistent. Try your best to just stay up on the jump pads above, and only use the grappling hook to save you from a fall or to swing yourself onto the head once the bubble appears. If you die during your play through, it'll most likely be here.
The last stage is actually the easiest once you understand the pattern. As soon as the stage starts off, keep to the far right. Imagine the laser panels coming towards the screen instead of them falling down. Keeping this view will greatly improve your jump coordination to avoid being zapped. Keep to the right and only jump for the lasers that get shot to the far right. Once you take out the bubble, quickly move over to the far left. Stay against the wall and just keep jumping when you see the far left lasers coming. Keep alternating the corner that you're in so that your on the correct side to throw the cake onto the bubble. This actually becomes fairly easy once you get the "feel" down.
Here is a quick picture I made to give you an idea of what I'm talking about when I said to imagine the "laser blocks" coming at you flat, not coming from above you. Jump right before the explosion.

I'm shooting fairy cakes from my forehead now. This game is awesome.
It took all my will not to read your post Kirby. That was close man, I'm glad you said that was a spoiler. Phew, don't wanna ruin it, now.
After all, I'll be getting it in 30 minutes to about an hour :D
I don't understand how this game can be so addicting, it's already been 3 hours and it feels like I've only been playing for like 15 minutes. :v:
Oh dear... it's a LittleBigPlanet Zombie Apocalypse!
On a serious note, I remember when I'd play for 6 hours and it only felt like 20 minutes. That's when I learned those kinds of people are called LBP Zombies.
I posted this in the other LittleBigPlanet thread, figured I would post it here too.
Also, in celebration of the release of Little Big Planet 2, I've been buying two people one piece of DLC of their choice for this game. I'll give it out to the first two people who can give a good reason why they deserve to win some free DLC. This will be determined by other users, whoever gets the most "Agrees" will receive it. No shenanigans, don't skewer the results.
(The way I go about giving you the DLC is you PM your account details, I log in and add my debit card, purchase the item, remove debit card, then finally log back out. The other user then goes into his "Download History" and redownload it. They can also go change their password back.)
I made a new account so I lost all the DLC I bought for LBP1. :saddowns:

Just log into your old account, re-download the content, then log back into your new account. As long as the profile is on your PlayStation, all users can use the purchased dlc.
No, instead of simply taking one of the Little Big Planet dlcs, you tried asking me to buy you some cheap $5 Chinese scroll off eBay.
TehMuffinMan, ask MAspiderface for a reference. I purchased him the Metal Gear Solid dlc. I have no interest in anyones personal account. Either take it or leave it, I'm not going to try to convince you.
Then I said, oh ok the dlc is fine then.
[editline]20th January 2011[/editline]
And I wasnt asking you to purchase it. I was asking if I could use the money on a physical object for my girlfriend instead of digital content for myself via my paypal.

He wasn't giving away money, he was giving away DLC.

I still have it in my inbox.
"Alright. So I was thinking, and this may be crossing the line, but could I take that 4.99 or whatever it was you were going to spend on virtual items for me and put it in my paypal instead? I wanted to get this for my girlfriend but I am 4 dollars short. If this is not ok to ask then the MGS character pack will be fine."
It's not a huge deal, I just felt put off after offering something because of a special occasion (release of lbp2) and instead you tried to just get free money to buy some cheap chinese tiger scroll. If you still want the dlc, i'll still purchase it for you because I said I would.
Do whatever. I dont really care. I dont have a ps3 (as stated before) anyway so I can only play on my neighbors.

Throw me a PM once you get a ps3 for yourself then. I gave you my word that I would gift you some DLC and I plan on sticking to it.
Eventually, I will.
I would love a spare toy story 3 aliens code if anyone has a spare.
Anyone want to play LittleBigPlanet 1 together? I'm just fucking around in the level editor currently. PM me and I'll give you my PSN.
We could play tomorrow.
