Yeah weaver is a very good hard carry.
I think part of the reason he isn't chosen that often is because of how he plays. His real power comes from farming and picking off weaker heroes. Even though he's virtually unstoppable by late game because of his DPS, escape, and mana-less ult, he can be easily shut down with enemy coordination. Way too many pub weavers who end up underleveled because they either can't properly pick off enemy heroes in teamfights, don't get enough farm, or fall victim to a stun-silence combo. Gondar and Rikki meanwhile have invis that do a much better job of both hiding and allowing for an escape, and last much much longer.

Your inventory preparing for Meepo? :v:
If that's the core build for Meepo then I still have so much to learn in Dota
What the fuck just happened
I killed 20 people as Witch Doctor
I solo'd a goddamn Ursa and Skeleton king trying to kill me with my ulti combo
The only person in the game with more kills was Ursa, at 25. We raped their asses and got raped many times but in the end
I carried as a goddamn support hero :v:
Your inventory preparing for Meepo? :v:
"blabla... Meepo clones don't get any items original Meepo has exept 1 pair of boots... blabla"
Sadly, otherwise this would be legit tactic.
Yes, post it in every single thread.
it gets them more exposure, besides, it's pretty damn cool
Your inventory preparing for Meepo? :v:
This is what happens when you play in the middle of the night as Tinker with several people who're high. You fuck around so hard.
The funny part was all of the boots were useful except the tranquil boots.

Fastest Tinker ever.

Weaver's ability to dodge death is far above Gondar's and Riki's against skilled players who know how to ward. His ultimate is incredibly good and the fastness of his invisibility is great. He's also ranged, which is another advantage.
I wish Cloak of the Dawn didn't clip with Sylla's sickle and light up like a neon green sign when moused over. It's awesome and shitty at the same time.
[editline]27th August 2012[/editline]
So, that's what I was talking about. I have both the Shoulder of the Twelfth something and the Cloak of the Dawn equipped and that's what I don't like in them (mostly the cloak, though)
It has clipping, both minor and major:

It has a weird outline bug, for example, when you select any other unit but your hero and mouse over him:

And when you have the shoulder thing equipped, it still desplays the old one on the bear:

I hope they fucking fix all of that, can some of your report it to the official forums? More reports, more attention.
Yeah, ChemicalAlia and I aren't entirely content with the implementation of these assets. The minor front clipping, not a big deal. The green selection bug, that's probably some weirdness on Valve's side. The scythe clipping through the back, though... When we designed and made that cloak, the scythe was not visible on his back. We figured it would stay that way, since putting his weapon there is kinda pointless and severely limits future item development. Valve then fixed that 'bug' after we had already submitted our item. Putting the scythe there basically forces people to copy the design of the original cloak, for no real gain. We kinda hope that they'll just keep his weapon in his hand at all times, since the throwing animation is so fast and his hands are already posed in a fist. Worst case scenario, we can tuck the cloak in at the back, though we don't know if Valve would implement a change on this item at this point, and the polycount constraint for that item is pretty damn low. As far as the bear goes, we have the files for the shoulder swap, but there's no place to submit it using the new workshop submission tool (or at least there wasn't a few weeks ago). Maybe we just missed it. We sorta figured Valve would just duplicate the shoulder armor and tweak placement a little. Sorry you're not entirely happy with the set, though, and we're gonna talk to someone about possible fixes. Thanks for the feedback!
Ehm, drywall, Lone druid's scythe thingy has always been on his back, so don't expect valve to be removing it
Has anyone else here developed mad skillz from watching other people play heroes? I've seen like a billion Pudges and a few Spectres and I learned from every encounter. I learned a bunch of tricks on landing hooks and Spectre's entire playstyle. btw Spectre is fun as shit, never stop farming because you can jump in at any time

In the character loadout, yes, but it wasn't appearing in-game after the model was set up for customization until being replaced again last week. That was probably just a bug, which got fixed. We thought maybe that was done intentionally, to allow for more flexibility in customization. No one expects it to be removed.
It got bugged in the loadout as well so I'm not blaming you, it dissapeared then they half-fixed it (was in with no textures) and then finally readded it.
Eh. Looks like Dota and Starcraft have far more in common than I thought they do.
Damn Asian-dominating-game syndrome.
Asians too stronk

Those prelims are mostly disappointments to me.
Teams I like lose even what seems like won games, teams I thought I'd enjoy to watch just get trampled.
This better be "make yourself look weak, then sucker-punch" kind of play. I'd prefer brackets to be different from this.
Now that I think about it, maybe teams are trying to separate the tournament ?
I do believe all asian teams are going to go to winners bracket, this leaves lower bracket for the rest.
This does sound dumb at first, but here's a thinker :
EU/US and Asian scene barely crossed over until International I believe, and they didn't have single LAN tournament together since first International. EU/US teams might've noticed they were slacking compared to their eastern counterparts, and don't want to blow anything they might've really cooked up for I2 before victories really mean life or death.

This was an amazing game and many times I thought we lost because my team did some really stupid shit like go for the top tier 3 tower instead of the naked barracks in the middle.
But we still somehow managed to beat them. I think dark seer was the true carry, he kept pulling off ultra kills with his replica walls and shit.

Cool I was able to get all of the equipment from the international crates.
Well time to sell this as a set for next year.
In all seriousness I will probably keep most of it and trade the really shitty stuff.
So how does Troll Warlord play in DotA 1? he's my most anticipated hero at the moment and I'd like to know more about him.
