It's damn near the level of people bitching about the coverflow hero selection system, and the lack of a default to grid mode. This is going to be some hilarious reading over my breakfast tomorrow.
For what it's worth, I don't particularly like the set, but then again, I don't like a ton of the crap in the game. Now if gender swaps start getting added, then I'm going to be extremely pissed off. That shit drives me nuts.
Well if it got 3 stars with 2500 ratings then it shouldn't have had gotten in unless 2500 ratings isn't that much

Most of the top items have less than 1500 ratings. People went out of their way to post negative feedback on it before the workshop was even implemented (the files were in the game beforehand).
As an example, [url=http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=75418512]this[/url] is a ludicrously highly rated item with only 1400 votes and it's on the upper end, and has been around for quite some time. The feedback has been crushingly positive, with most of the negative comments (if you can even call them that) being concerns about how it might impact performance, or how it looks when zoomed out.
There's dozens of examples of items with around 800-1000 votes. 2.5k votes is the community saying to fuck off in one way or another.

Pudge just looks so boring without hair. And his new color doesn't look right. Too pale. Needs to be darker.
Any of the new items for supports?
Dazzle is the main one I'm hoping for.

That's actually pretty good.
It's a free kill. He walks in thinking he can smoke and slash someone and then walk out, and instead, he walks in and starts getting hit while he thinks he's invisible.
It's like telling a kid you turned him invisible and he takes off his clothes in the middle of everyone.
I've been LOVING sand king. Too bad I get teams that random their heroes and end up feeding.
Siren and tidehunter vs me and wisp on top.
We WIPE them out with a mix of burrowstrikes, caustic finales, autoattacks and spirits. Tidehunter even raged.
Seriously, even forgave wisp for TPing me to base precisely when I had stunned both of them and channeled an epi when they had low hp. It was such a good fight in the laning phase. They kept getting hurt by creeps who blew up from caustic from the start, without any effort, then even burrowstriked and saved wisp from siren who was mauling him near our tower and then died getting away from the tower fire.
But man... DAT CAUSTIC FINALE. That was just, AMAZING.
Does it stack? Like, I sting 2 creeps, one blows up with the other and do damage by both of them?
Almost forgot. Siren got really pissed at me.
I was at low health from a team fight so I blinked into a rock near the left side entrance to the dire jungle, and siren saw me. Burrowstriked and started running from her, she almost got me, so sandstormed and she stopped. After blink dagger came out of cd, I blinked away :v:

Yeah, you can hit every creep on the wave once and if they die within 8 seconds you can have a huge chain reaction that can do something like 800 damage if someone is in the middle.

The best thing is when a melee hero denies a caustic creep and dies themselves.
I love watching big plays with Sand King, It's just so satisfying when he causes a huge chain reaction and murders everyone
Anyone else unable to find a server? Or is it only SEA that's down?
Also, Pudge without hair is horrid. I hope they set hair as default and give bald as an item.

He is one of my top 3 heroes and, IMO, one of the top 3 best initiators in the game. He just murders so easily and puts out so much damage with about as much effort as Tidehunter. That and he is a great counterpick to pushers, in turn also a great farmer.
Sand King is so squishy though..
But I fucking love it when you can dodge projectiles with SandStorm, blinking and Burrowstriking to places.
Like this one time at bot lane, I was being targeted for a gank, Ogre Magi chasing me, so I juked them to the sideshop, and from there I burrowstriked under the trees back to the safety of my Dire tower.

I don't think he's that squishy. Enigma is squishier than he is but I would still put him in top 3 initiators.
Is Dota completely fucked for anyone else?
When i launch the game it starts the time for searching for a match despite not searching, when i do search for a server I never find one and I cant even create my own lobby.

Looks more fitting now.
His voice however isn't. It's nice, don't get me wrong, pretty fun, but why do I think an evil sounding voice would be MUCH nicer?

pudge is cool and funny and has great voice acting (his 'thanks meat' line makes me laff every time)

It used to be far, far worse than what it is now. You used to level stats before leveling the slow. The way it is now, it can be a huge pain if placed at the right time in a fight.
I think his slow is actually pretty good. You can leave it at 3 and then drop a Bonds > Infernal > Slow combo and they are total and utter mincemeat for your team. It's even better if you have a way of manipulating positioning like Rubick or Dark Seer because it works on total time chanelled rather than time spent in the vortex so if somebody gets dropped in the middle of it they're fucked.

The idea is to pull off warlocks combo on a group of enemies.
Bonds -> Infernal (-> Refresher -> Infernal) -> Upheaval
It's not a bad skill at all. He just has 3 skills that are better, so you level it last.
It used to work by having to be in the vortex, the slow didn't start at such a high percent even while maxed, the AoE was half of what it was now, and it didn't linger when you left it.
Worst spell in the game.
