We were pushed down to only our ancient and two rax, and held out for a good 30 minutes. Then we pushed, got to their ancient, didn't take the other rax (b/c we're dumb) and defended some more. Really close points in that game. In the end, my team pushed bottom while I killed the ancient single handedly while my team distracted them :)

What do you mean? If you mean what do you drop to take them, then tango/potions > magic wand > single-stat early game item/quelling blade > boots, I guess

In regards to the priority of the Aegis, you can pretty much drop anything as long as it's cheaper than 2k. Alternatively you could pick it on the courier and toss it in your stash until you lose your Aegis.

They needed me, but I told the team to push bot to get the rax, and then I had an idea. I once had an intense match with a bounty hunter killing the enemies ancient while they killed ours and we barely won with our ancient having 5 health. I need to find that replay sometime.

Wow just got out of a great game
Me and two friends couldn't find anyone else so we queued without the usual 5 and got two randoms
We're put against a 5 man stack that each have like 100 wins more than us on average
Then the two randoms pick supports, ward all game, play extremely well, and are just overall very nice people and we crush the 5 man stack, who doesn't even bother saying gg.
And I killed their courier right before we throned so fuck them

On a related note, I just got the Manifold Spear, which was made by a facepuncher and is the single coolest item in the game currently. I won it from one of 'those matches' where both teams says 'gg' and profusely thanks each other for the fun afterwards. I had been playing as Silencer.

Actually I would put early game items even further up on the list. I mean if you have a spare iron branch sitting in your inventory or a quelling blade you should obviously drop that (especially if you have high DPS). Magic wand, even during mid game, can still be sort of useful.
