After killing the wisp you should have just bought a TP at their fountain and tp'd out. Could have escaped just fine if you did. I think. I didn't see anyone else in their base.
Or he could have waited for the teleport to go back to the original location - as in don't kill wisp.
Since people are crying about Lycan for a change, I saw this vid, tried it myself and discovered that it's legit. It's quite hard to do and you're not getting any farm, but Lycan isn't getting any either, and you are there to delay his Vlad's as long as possible. I higly recommend watching this. Also, you climb back in gold using track so you're only getting no farm during the 1st 10~ mins.
Couldn't Lycan just go into lane or into the enemy jungle?
Couldn't Lycan just go into lane or into the enemy jungle?
If he went into lane after being harassed in the jungle, he shouldn't have any regen left and thus making it way harder for him to stay in the lane. If he goes into your jungle, you can easily band up with your teammates and gank him and shut him down even harder.
Couldn't Lycan just go into lane or into the enemy jungle?
Guys, I have this free-kill Bounty Hunter around me. 1 Dust and we all split first blood, you in ? At least that's what I would do as Lycan, or suggest that to Lycan if I were in lane. I mean, it happend in video around 9:25, just without dust. This works, but only on very very very basic pub level. I mean Rhasta not getting wards/meka, rushing Refresher/Agha level in duolane with Ursa level. [editline]19th August 2012[/editline] Also, a tip of the day : No matter how god damn farmed you are, a black hole is still a black hole and god forbid you just waltz into it.
Black hole is easily the most game changing ultimate in Dota. I was playing a game where we were all behind and the other team was pressuring us so much. Even though we were on the verge of losing my friend landed good black holes and I'd follow up with call down and before we knew it we had devastating AoE and pushed straight through rax to win. Also there's not enough love for Gyrocopter :(
Dust doesn't hit you if you happen to have a tree between you and the Dust-caster, right? Like juking?

I love self-entitled DOTA 1 players who plays a crappy game and then buys divine, ruining it after you took out two barracks. Happens to me more often than you think.
You know what I think would be cool? If FP had two teams, and they constantly played against each other to find out who is the best. Constant rivalry and shit. It sounded better in my head.
You know what I think would be cool? If FP had two teams, and they constantly played against each other to find out who is the best. Constant rivalry and shit.
Whenever people from FP play all they do is whine in this thread and it's annoying.
Not "hey you random guy from FP come here lets play a game" but actual teams. Like, drafting people and playing a lot of games with them and against other teams. You know? Not just come and go.
I think it's the skillgaps that creates tension between us and it becomes hard to properly enjoy a game if one have to teach others. I can imagine it'll be a whole lot more fun to play with you guys when death mode and OMG-mode is released.
Not "hey you random guy from FP come here lets play a game" but actual teams. Like, drafting people and playing a lot of games with them and against other teams. You know? Could always just do a Facepunch-based tournament. Anyone can sign up with a team, etc.
Could always just do a Facepunch-based tournament. Anyone can sign up with a team, etc.
Winner gets eternal glory in the form of titles. [editline]19th August 2012[/editline]
I love self-entitled DOTA 1 players who plays a crappy game and then buys divine, ruining it after you took out two barracks. A bigger problem would be regions, which might be different. I'm between US East and Europe (Portugal, in Europe I know, but almost next to US East) and theres probably people who are from US West and stuff. And yeah, skillgaps will surely piss people off sadly.

I think an FP Dota 2 Tournament would be amazing.
I hope they add some kind of system so players can easily see what skill level they are. Kinda like LoL's rating system.
Could always just do a Facepunch-based tournament. Anyone can sign up with a team, etc.
Sign up as one man team. ??? Profit.
I honestly think Valve will add tournament-creation utilities to "Socialiaze" tab. People have been doing this shit for ages using forums and such, and every game alike (be it MMOs or other stuff) that features group-based activities had some progress towards making that feature game-inclusive.

(Or in a new tab called tournaments!)

playing Rubick always makes me act like a smug asshole in allchat i just feel so compelled to say "thanks for the ultimate!" every time i do a turnabout black hole or whatever not to mention the you're wasting talent~~ line that i now have to use to take the piss out of bad players pls help
for some reason i cant watch my friends game and there's only one live game. whats going on here
I hope they add some kind of system so players can easily see what skill level they are. Kinda like LoL's rating system.
The brackets work just fine for me, Just check what bracket they are in/have played in before and how they do in those higher bracket games.
playing Rubick always makes me act like a smug asshole in allchat i just feel so compelled to say "thanks for the ultimate!" every time i do a turnabout black hole or whatever
Tell me about it when I play Night Stalker. I just love this hero, almost my favourite hero of all times. He is literally there to make game unplayable for enemy if they can't respond in time for every night that happens. When I see him on enemy team, I treat him a bit like Lycan. He has to die at least once before 1st night, denied as much as possible and constantly warded off. When I play NS most of the time enemies just prefer to shrug me off. Shrug off hasted flying batman who's throwing urns at you .

Shut up and play the game, you are ruining it for everyone.
I hate this, even if the one doing this is in my team. Shut up and play the game, you are ruining it for everyone.
Now, that's too far. Chat is availiable for everyone and everyone has the privelage to use it. So what if X person doesn't want to read anything during game, or Y person can't stand some humor/shittalk(I dislike it, but it's natural for some people)/pointers. You can't shut all other people up in real life, neither can you do it online, unless you decide to leave the chat, mute everyone or hack in, i.e. leave yourself out of discussion or cheat. If you can't take the chat, don't read it and don't react to it. For all others, including me, there is always room for a nice talk during a pause or a little bit of friendly shit-talk (I mean friendly, no "noobs" or such, more of "Gotcha!" kill someone - get Sunstriked-"Nope, I got ya!").
