I think it's because lower/normal-level players panic right away instead of thinking rationally about how to escape a gank.
One time I died to an extremely low hp huskar as Axe and completely forget to use my blademail. I had enough mana for it, but not cull. I was so embarrassed but I wasn't thinking straight.

Damage prophet works okay, actually. He can carry purely do to the amount of money he wracks up to spend on items.
My preferred build is Midas -> Treads -> Orchid OR Necro3 (Depending on if I'm ganking or pushing) -> Deso

Is lone druid an easy hero to play, or am I just naturally good at him? (Not bragging, it may be idiot opponents.)
I seem to steamroll every game I'm in with him, and even if we lose I almost always have a positive K/D ratio. He's just an all around fun hero to play in my eyes since you've basically got two people to manage instead of one. Even though most smart people will go for the druid himself.

Offensive NP is hilarious because at close range, it looks like he's just gently tapping people on the head with his staff, and they're dropping dead.

Lone Druid is hilarious. Most smart opponents think GO FOR THE BEAR IT WILL KILL YOU! instead of going for the squishy as hell old fart.
Even [I]smarter[/I] Lone Druid players will Build tankiness on themselves slightly and damage on their Bear.

A Prophet without a Guinsoo's is a shit Prophet, to be honest. Admittedly you mention it in your list, but it must be the first core item on Prophet. It's too good.
