I did most/all of the gun animations you see in the latest videos.
the weapon sounds are absolute garbage. Why does the helical smg sound like the LMG? [editline]09:37AM[/editline] they sound like vunsunta's pieces of shit sounds from CSS skins
I thought this was this other mod in space which had an epic trailer and was for Oblivion I think :saddowns: What was the name of it again?
i fell a halo look-a-like, and i miss game where you got to find the weapon on the map...
Looks cool but it is another class-based shooty mod. Not that it won't be good or anything, but it's hard to be unique because so many other source mods follow the same format.

I'm looking forward to playing this.
The screenshots and weapons look epic, but I have a feeling that this will be another generic hl2 mod. What new things does this mod bring? What is new from this mod compared to for example, Neotokyo?
Damn, this looks sweet.
It looks nice, but what's with the dinosaurs? Unless they're supposed to be the aliens or something.
alien dinosaurs [editline]02:16AM[/editline] ALIEN CYBORG DINOSAURS WOULD BE THE FUCKING SHIT
Can you make some wallpapers for this, looks really nice
Fucking awesome art. Your GUI is a bit ugly imo though. Everything else was like 'what the shit it's on source?'
It looks nice, but what's with the dinosaurs? Unless they're supposed to be the aliens or something.
Something to do with The dev's and Bungie's Pre-production HALO
Reason for the dinosaurs: This is NOT on Earth. The story starts millions of years ago. Billions even. Before Earth was even formed there was a large chunk of rock in the Milky Way. On this rock was bacteria and dust and chemical that later would ignite the evolution and basically us as we know it. However, before the space rock had struct Earth it had hit an object and split into to distinct pieces. One rock landing on Earth and igniting evolution and growth here. The other had zoomed passed Earth and out of the Milky Way. It landed on a planet which we later (in 2442) code-named Orion. This was our sister planet to every extent of that meaning. Same weather patterns, same growth patterns, same forms of evolution (although the Dinosuars never had gone extinct due to no ice age or volcanic eruption (whatever you may believe) ever occurring on Orion as it had on Earth. Hope that cleared some stuff up for you. [editline]01:02AM[/editline] Check out the new October update here: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?p=17954871#post17954871
can't wait to ruin your game on the first day of release just like i did to neotokyo and resistance and liberation ;)
can't wait to ruin your game on the first day of release just like i did to neotokyo and resistance and liberation ;)
What a dick.
What a dick.
shitty overhyped mod that should have had a release years ago has it coming. what takes so many years can be destroyed in less than an hour; it's good for a resume and that's it. practical use is void [editline]04:34AM[/editline] oh yeah i must have forgotten to mention that i've destroyed dystopia too and revolt: the decimation, and pretty much insurgency (except insurgency went the smart route, as did dystopia (except they aren't smart) and nobody was bound to play revolt anyway because it was overall pretty terrible, just like this.
I got dropped from the team page, "the_hat" :(
As impressive and professional as this game is, it seems so much like Neotokyo that I feel it's going to suffer from near identical pitfalls. The whole standard shooter fare gets really boring after a while, unless there's something to really distinguish your game apart from professional graphics and art, it's going to get hella boring hella fast.
why post? fuck off you haven't even played it yet.
watch the gameplay videos (you obviously haven't. if you have, watch them again). it looks exactly like your typical counter-strike clone. where's the hook? all the gameplay video is is some guy running around shooting shit. wow, that's impressive.
So, what do you do in this mod?
This doens't compare to counter-strike in any other way than it's a game where you shoot and you have teammates. Like 90% of all fps games have.
Exactly--it's a game where you shoot and have teammates. There's no redeeming factor. There's no attention grabber. There's no hook.
Dinosaurs? Ok, now I'm definitely trying it out.
You're right, but halo 3 gets plenty of attention anyway.
What's Halo got to do with this? Attention =/= good/original.
The reason I personally like this game is because of the visuals. It's different from other generic source mods.
what's so different about the visuals?
Mod looks fun, and like CunningHam said. Don't screw up like NeoTokyo. "Severe amount of beta testing". That's a load of bull. Only allowing 5 to 10 people a week into the beta.
Who cares......As long as the dinosaurs are there i'm in.
Mod looks fun, and like CunningHam said. Don't screw up like NeoTokyo. "Severe amount of beta testing". That's a load of bull. I knew it.. From their Mod DB page: We are SO close to our first public beta! We are in an awful situation where our Lead Programmer, Jack has succumbed to PC hardware issues (over heating / lack of cooling). He is out of commission until next Tuesday (if all goes well) and has been unable to code for the last week. User Posted Image We need an experienced Source SDK programmer that can help us complete our last list of changes in order to achieve release. It is all small stuff... nothing to add to the game (feature wise). It includes some vgui stuff, some weapon variables, and other stuff of that nature.
