Resident Evil 2 and 3 were probably my favorite. I absolutely hate 4 and 5.
5 was too easy and wasn't even scary at all.

RE4 and 5 really disappointed me, I felt like I'd been betrayed by my best friend.
I suggest you all find the Resident Evil 1 remake on gamecube if you want to play some good old fashioned RE with better graphics.

I liked the second one just because it had Jill in it, and I have a nerd crush on her.
i wish they actually upgraded the graphics for the rest of the GC ports
i got 2/3 on gamecube hoping they did and was left disapointed
Did anyone here ever actually beat Resident Evil Zero? I got stuck at one point and just gave up. Managing two characters by yourself is really hard.

I love the old Resident Evils even though they could be frustrating and old sometimes. I loved 4's new action and general good times of shooting shit with the new system and camera, but I will never forgive Capcom for getting rid of zombies. The only thing I like about 5 are the increased graphics. The co-op was fun, but if you were playing alone the AI Sheva was a pain in the ass. My grudge increased to a heavier degree when I realized there were still no goddamn zombies, and that it's in the daylight. This is not fucking horror. This is a pure action game, barely survival horror anymore. What's even more annoying is I got the PC version, but the DLC is console exclusive; and the DLC has a fucking [i]mansion mission[/i] and you'd be able to play as Barry Burton in mercenaries mode. What the fuck, Capcom.
Apparently there are rumors circulating that Capcom is redoing the whole series for RE6 and giving yet another fresh take on the series. If they fuck it up, I'm never buying a Resident Evil game again because I don't trust them anymore.

Im a hardcore RE fan, and yes i prefer the first games more, cuz i grow up with them actually, when Resident Evil 4 came out, i was confused, it was a complete reboot, but enjoyable, same case with Resident Evil 5 (wich i dont find racist, its a goddamn game for Christ sake,its like saying TF2 its racist cuz you can kill the Demoman :/)...what i do hate, are the movies (live action ones not the CGi) i founded them as an insult for the RE games fans.
Anyways everyone has their opinion and this was mine, if you dont like it go bother somebody else.

Are you talking about the Live Action commercials for RE5. What the fuck do you mean by "an insult for the RE game fans"? I'm a massive RE fan too, but shit like this is what makes RE fans annoying - they're way too fucking whiny.

He's comparing the live action movies to the CGI RE:Degeneration movie, which was actually pretty decent.

I thought RE5 was okay, but it did give us awesome Wesker.
I prefer the old ones to the new ones.
But I still loved 4 and 5, I just wish they would go back to that isommetric style of gameplay.

Four didn't feel like a Resident Evil game, but I'm just saying that due to the nature of the new virus and the fact that it isn't based in Raccoon City anymore. Five felt like it was trying to compete with Metal Gear Solid 4 in terms of a Blockbuster-movie feeling.

I had a friend and we'd both play resi 5 coop. I don't think it was the best but it was still fun.
Resident Evil 5 was fun, but the boss fights with Wesker were pure bullshit, as was Professional mode where you can't survive a hit from Jill in Chapter 5-3, so it's instant death if you get hit, which led to tens of times having to do it over and over.
Wesker had horrible boss fights, specially in the DLC, where every single bullet you fired would miss him and you would be forced to stand still until he hits you, which is when you can punch him back.
I loved Resident Evil 2 though, even though I never played it to the end.
