Nope. R/B/Y can trade with each other and G/S/C. Simple as that.

In order to trade from RSE to FRLG you have to do the FRLG sevii isles thing.
Ok, here's a non-errorless diagram, tell me if I make a couple mistakes. I did, I know.
Just a thing, all things on the same tier can trade with each other.

Comets =/= meteors. Meteors are incredibly commmon.

Actually, I remember the time machine. You can trade, but you cannot trade non-kanto pokemon or items.
OH, GBA - BGC. I remember. But yeah, yo can using the [url]http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Time_Capsule[/url] if the G/S/C is on a GBC.

Quick question. Do you guys have any rules you set for battles with friends? With my friends, we don't do any EV training, so we just have the "No legendaries" rule. That's it. It's fun, simple, and I don't really have to worry about ruling.

When I first played I used my first 6 pokemon through the whole game.
Charmander, Pidgey, Rattata, Pikachu, Caterpie and Geodude.
Charizard, Pidgeot, Raticate, Pikachu, Butterfry and Golem destroyed the pokemon league every time! (I used my thunder stone on Eevee)
