I took the fire starter in all of the games but the 4 gen, I took the water there. With B&W coming up I might take the grass!

Water starter is bad, too similar to Piplup. It's like they wanted a second crack at Bidoof.
Depressed fire is actually a pig, not a bunny.
The grass is like...OK? I don't see it as a grass snake really.
I really am underwhelmed. I like the protagonists though.

Hoenn is a couple of islands south-west of the mainland, it's not connected to it. And Sinnoh is an island to the south-east of the mainland. Also the islands (One Island and so on) are between Hoenn and Sinnoh.

I repeat none of the pokemon look serious. Some look cooler then others but I counter with

It does look like treecko, the headshape, colors, size of the eyes, everything is extremely similar and you can't say otherwise. I don't entirely hate the design of the new guy mind you but it's really cutting it close to me.
And the ears made me think it was rabbit :v: I thought it would be some mix of a pig/rabbit at most anyway

Head shapes are completely different. New one looks like a sideways water drop. Treecko's looks like a butt.

New one also has more animeish eyes while Treecko has black pupils and nothing else. Judging by the patterns on the new one's head, it's eyes are much bigger and rounder than Treecko's, but you can't really tell but its eye is half closed.

It has Cyndaquils head but its eyes are open.
Its a grass snake.

But it has feet and arms.
All other Pokemon snakes don't.
The Grass Starter, Tsutaja (ツタージャ) is the Grass Snake Pokémon
