You can do shiny chaining which can raise the chances from 1/8000 to like 1/200 but it still requires some patience.
In the 10 years I've been playing pokemon I've only gotten one shiny pokemon, but I don't really look for them.

I pray to GOD that B&W has compatibility with soulsilver trade wise. Doesnt looks like it because of the all new modifications, but oh well, cant have them all.

Just noticed that Raikou is miss colored in the moving video, his big... thing on his back is supposed to be purple, in the battle video it's all sickly.

It's one of the alternate colored (shiny, derp) ones they gave out for that movie or something
