Even if dragon/grass was not neutral to fire the grass starter would probably still beat the fire one with STAB dragon moves.

The speed is crap anyway and the special defense is high. Too bad I'm not going to evolve it or train it at all.

my point is the starters are supposed to be weak to each other and unless nintendo makes all the final forms neutral to each other, its unfair to make one not weak to its "counter"

Empoleon is neutral to grass and Infernape beats Empoleon with Close Combat. Also Empoleon beats Torterra with Ice Beam.

and torterra is still weak to infernape
so unless the new fire type has a super effective against the new grass type, its unfair.
which means it would have to be fire/ice or fire/dragon, which is unlikely
so i dont think the new grass will be grass/dragon
just my prediction.

by then both should have 3rd form. AKA if your rival could have the advantage if they make these weird dual types.

I personally want smugleaf to be Plant/Ghost. Because a smug ghost is always good, and it doesn't make it immune to fire, or weak to water.
