Are you some sort of shallow FPS gamer?
And proud of it.
Let us pray. Lord Of Games, please lend Bethesda, your humble servant, the strength and wisdom it needs to prevail over Interplay, so that it may appease you by making an awesome Fallout MMO. Amen.
You have it backwards. Bethesda doesn't want to produce it. You do realize development was in the hands of Interplay, then Bethesda gave them a deadline to produce something but Bethesda dropped the project because Interplay didn't have anything. Interplay sued and now claim they actually did have something. If Interplay wins, they might continue the project; if Bethesda wins, Interplay loses the rights and the project will probably be dropped entirely. You're cheering for the wrong guys.

So it's Interplay wins or there's no Fallout MMO at all?
Then it'd have a RPS(?) feel to it!
Ha, so that's a real new genre name? Bout time, I was fed up with saying FPSRPG.
Interplay wins: Real Fallout game Betheseda wins: No MMO.
Interplay wins: Fallout game Betheseda wins: No MMO.
Fixed, and I guess a third person one will be better than nothing. [editline]07:14PM[/editline] Come to think of it, has there EVER been and FPSMMORPG?
I'd imagine they're going for a dark/dreary atmosphere, since its an apocalypse based game. And the apocalypse is generally thought of as dark/dreary.
This is 200 years after the apocalypse. There's not enough native radiation lingering in the air to even mildly harm a human, and plants should have started to grow back already. So the game could be a lot more colorful, but it's an innecessary shade of boring gray and dull green.
itt: kids whine about graphics and turn based combat etc
itt: kids whine about graphics and turn based combat etc
Thanks I wouldn't have noticed otherwise, I'm sure this information will change the lives of many

[editline]07:14PM[/editline] Come to think of it, has there EVER been and FPSMMORPG?
A: Betheseda stole the rights to the series and pumped out a piece of shit B: Interplay was the original creator, and would actually make a good Fallout game instead of a button mashing monstrosity. C: Planetside
Looks a bit Cartoonish. You sure it's just not a mod or something
Wow, looks exacly like if it'd be a Fallout mod for Fable TLC there!... When I think about it wouldn't be too bad if it was true :P
I like the look of it. I thought Fallout 3 was great, but the visuals were a bit bland. I would have liked it even more if it looked like this. It would really depend on how it played though, it would be kinda boring if it followed the "click to attack" gameplay like most MMOs. I don't see how they can do turn-based combat since it's multiplayer, but it would be cool if it played like Fallout 3.
stop fighting about fo1 / 2 vs fo3 people for fucks sake it's been like a year since fo3 was released no matter what you say it was a good goddamn game. Just because it wasn't tbc and anywhere near as story rich as the first two, it made up for it in immersion. FO3 was great because you weren't disconnected from the character, something that FO1 and FO2 couldn't pull off. I played all three, all three were great. Now stop bitching for fucks sake I swear this shit happens with l4d, mw, and fo all the goddamn time
Yeah, the game really needs to have a real-time combat system, unlike most MMORPG's. Otherwise it'll get boring.
Actually, I REALLY don't like the idea of making apocalypse games mmorpg. Kind of ruins the whole apocalypse part of it if you see humans EVERYWHERE.
[release]I have managed to get the first, un-published screenshots of the MMORPG Interplay is developing under the codename Project V13.In them you can see a character with a 13 on his back (im not a fallout fan so i don't know what it is),a post-apocalyptic town and a few supermutants. Apart from these a 4 pieces of concept art have also surfaced on the internet. However, it's not certain if the game will even be released thanks to Bethseda's court battle with Interplay over the rights to the Fallout series. The screenshots are actually being used in court as evidence in the course. But would you want to play a MMO in the Fallout universe? I'm not fully convinced, however i would definately pick it up as it is being developed by the devs of the first Fallout.[/release] Rough translation of the text, I needed the practice anyway. But i would definately play this. I think a lot of us would be thoroughly overjoyed to see a TES type of MMO from Bethesda
