I once launched 5k nukes at Canada, invaded Canada, invaded Greenland, invaded Iceland, invaded Ireland, and almost got to Britain but then I got impeached.

I'm glad at least the game has challenge. At least the USSR acts like a fierce, menacing superpower.

Don't know if anyone noticed, but in the system menu, then options, there's an ELECTIONS ON/OFF setting. I haven't tried it, though.

Hearts of Iron 3 is much better, MUCH better but if you like a simpler game this is great. If you can spare a few hours at a time get HoI3

France nuked Iraq in my defense, but I misread the news report and thought they nuked ME, so I nuked them, then they actually nuked me and I nuked them in retaliation, then I sent them tons of aid, but they rejected it and nuked me again so I nuked them back again and Congress impeached me.
oh yeah, the UK nuked France too somewhere in there.
I had china and the USSR nuking each other back and forth, was great.
How do I get this game running? I have DOSBOX but I'm completely clueless as to what I have to do.

put the SHADOW folder in your C drive, open DOSbox and type
(mount c c:\SHADOW\) (c:) (SHADOW)
