2.Age Of Floods would make everything ocean biome so everything would be flooded,why would you want that?
3.I don't think flooding the whole server would hold(lag with all the water flowing and people drowning)

Sorry for all the downtime guys. The admins have been spending a lot of time recently terraforming huge parts of the map. When the server goes private in September a lot more will be done and by the time christmas arrives the server will open again and we'll have a completely recovered map to explore :smile:

To be more specific; We are regenerating old forests, filling old areas up with ores again, filling in holes in the ground and general world degradation (which happens when hundreds of players go through the server every week), and generating entirely new areas like snow peaked mountains, rolling hills, and long beaches. We won't be removing old ruins from the map or erasing any history, but instead just healing the world and bringing it back to life. There has been about 4 apocalypses since the server went public a year ago so there's a lot of work to do.
I hope that better explains why we're going private for a while. Theres going to be more crashes and interrupted game time on the server over the next few months and we won't have as much time to keep the rules up to date and keep events interesting. The best thing right now is to close the server to the normal public, let a handful of players on who have a history on the server and wish to help, and reopen the server again when the work is done.

We definitely won't be erasing anything like that. Our world map has always been about ruins and faction history.
Announcement: The server has been whitelisted early because of recent griefing attacks on the server. I believe some recently banned players and players who knew they weren't to be whitelisted were annoyed and decided to come on with alt accounts or have their friends grief for them. This is all speculation however. I don't have the patience at the moment to look into it all and investigate, better to just whitelist the server and be done with it. If you wish to be whitelisted you can apply through the contact form on the website ([url]www.drakortha.info[/url]). Alternatively, you can wait a week or so for me to post the downloadable map on the site and you can download it to play in a single player instance.
This thread is probably officially dead now, but that's ok. The Age of Darkness was a lot of fun and I'm sure a lot of you guy's enjoyed it as well. This thread isn't dead, but your server most certainly is.
You don't care about your server anymore, nor the players. You should pass up your ownership to someone who can dedicate their time. Someone who still has enthusiasm about the game. You take out your real life frustrations on players...that should be a sign you need to step away or get some help.
For anyone looking to join this server? Don't. Not worth the time.
Basically, the rules of this server is whine, annoy, and bitch; the mods will be too lazy to treat you fairly, and you can get away with anything. Get enough of you saying the same thing, and rumors become facts. It's childish. The server is marred with ugliness, despite the 'beautification' rules implemented.
Gratz to those who made the whitelist. Enjoy your time. I'm sure you deserved it. *rolls eyes* Way to treat your new players better then your dedicated ones, asshat. You're a piss-poor excuse for a person some days.

I'm pretty sure I made it clear this was the reason for the server being whitelisted. I cant manage a public server for a while and it starts with removing high-maintenance players who have a history of being banned (like yourself).

99% of our old players are on the whitelist you fool. It's just you and your friends who have been banned which is obviously why you're so mad about it. You think just because you've been playing a few months more than some people that makes you "old and dedicated"? Yeah right. You never cared about the other players, the admins, or our map. You've always just done things to amuse yourself even if it is at the detriment of other players. Good riddance.

Sorry, I don't like to boast but I'm going to. My Youtube channel has 20'000 subscribers. If I want to fill the server up again it's as easy as uploading a video saying "hey, we're open come on in". We've repopulated the server many times during your time on the server and many many more times before you came along. The Ancient World isn't going anywhere unless I want it to. I also wanted you and your friends gone, and guess what? you're gone. Noticing a pattern here? When you own a server for this long things generally go my way. Too bad for you :v:
