I didn't see a problem with ejecting from the aircraft.\ But yeah, sometimes even a standing sniper is suppa stealth.
half the time you spend ages trying to kill an enemy aircraft only to see them jump out at the last second and you not get the kill you've been spending ages to get
RF:G has better destruction.
Yes, compare two games when one hasn't even been released yet and the other was purely based on destruction.
People were crying over a lost kill as they were too butt-fucking retarded to shoot the slowly moving guy. And I hid in a push for a entire fucking match (didn't shoot or anything, just recon basically), thanks to the sniper outfit in the first BC.
In Battlefield games when a person exits a vehicle they don't inherit the velocity of the vehicle, so the pursuing plane will overshoot the ejecting pilot before it can line up its sights on the guy.
And I hid in a push for a entire fucking match (didn't shoot or anything, just recon basically), thanks to the sniper outfit in the first BC.
I remember I hid in a bush in BC behind enemy lines and just kept shooting them without them ever finding me. I was about 30 feet away too. The funny part is that they all came back to the same window to try and find me over and over. I kept popping them each time.
In Battlefield games when a person exits a vehicle they don't inherit the velocity of the vehicle, so the pursuing plane will overshoot the ejecting pilot before it can line up its sights on the guy.
There is that, but I was mainly talking about people on the ground shooting anti-aircraft weaponry. Not people flying really. If you are in a plane, then the jumping out is damn annoying, but if you are lucky you might hit the bastard :v:
half the time you spend ages trying to kill an enemy aircraft only to see them jump out at the last second and you not get the kill you've been spending ages to get
At last in Bad Company you still receive points for destroying the vehicle.
I found out Bad Company had no parachutes the hard way but at least I got an achievement for it lol.
Darwin's Parachute is the achievement, it's unlocked by falling for a certain distance. I got it by falling VERY high and landing safely in water (unrealistic, the various particles in water would rip your skin right off your bones, especially in salt water). Anyway, apparently they do plan to add parachutes. They did it in Battlefield 1943, so I can't imagine why not. What they did was give the people points for those who actually shoot down the vehicle, whether a person is in it or not. As for prone, I rather liked it with just crouching. People prone-jump and it became a HUGE problem in Battlefield: Modern Combat.
I'm not really in the mood to debate this, but look at Call of Duty. The minute you shoot from the sniper rifle the bullet instantly hits the target. Unrealistic at long distances. Battlefield features fairly realistic bullet ballistics. same with destructible environments. Black introduced them in small amounts, but no other game really did it too well before Battlefield. Regardless I still like to play Call of Duty.
Two words. Punk Buster
[sarcasm]I can't wait for battlefield 2 (now with destructible buildings!)[/sarcasm] Pretty much battlefield 2 on the pc but now you can destroy a whole building. You know what i think? I think its freaking awesome! I cannot wait for this game!!!
Two words. Punk Buster
What's wrong with punk buster? Anyways, I'm looking forward to this and Battlefield 3.
This game sounds more incredible every day. I've never had a chance to play any Battlefield games (besides Heroes but that piece of shit doesn't count) so I'm really excited for this and Battlefield 3.
What's wrong with punk buster?
Because it only "busts" the legit players.
Because it only "busts" the legit players.
If you are talking about the random kicks some get while trying to play it's mostly because their punkbuster version is outdated, evenbalance.com -> support -> pbsetup fixes this.
I get random kicks even when it's updated. Punkbuster really is a piece of shit. [editline]06:48PM[/editline]
Anyway, apparently they do plan to add parachutes. As long as you destroy the vehicle in a certain amount of time after the player jumped out of it, you get a "destroyed vehicle" kill.
Because it only "busts" the legit players.
I haven't had a single issue with PB, so... huh.
I never got issues with PB either. Also can't wait this looks like it's the shit. *me hopes they don't bring prone back*
Actually, I encounter more connection drops in Call of Duty 4 than I do with Bad Company.
I'm hopin for some bigger maps, the maps in BC were big and all, but I hope they push it even further in BC2
Prone should be fast to get down then slow to rise so doing it constantly results in a very slow movement speed and being vulnerable when standing up. Also weapons disabled when going down and up.
I love the battlefield series... I'm yet to find a game that is just as fun.
