No offense, but the jukebox is pretty bad.
Whoever made cobble needs to make mossy cobble. Also if it's subtle enough can we have gold be a zing rating again?
Also if it's subtle enough can we have gold be a zing rating again?
Last time, this ended looking like shit.
I don't think there's a place to 'subtly' put it in. Maybe in one of the paintings.
The zing glowstone was pretty well-made. The rating ores were shit though.
I think it looks kind of OK, for my shit artistic abilities that is. [t]http://puu.sh/oAYD[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/oAYH[/t]
That isn't very subtle. What would look good would be something that's naturally golden or yellow, and then fix the zing rating into there where you can only notice it if you know about it or if you were looking hard enough, IE the glowstone.
Zing was in the glowstone of the first collab texture pack, wasn't it?
Claiming chest, I guess. Or not, since apparently it's a separate file from the terrain now, and they left it in the terrain.png to fuck with us.
Since I actually got an agree.
You still should have made it more subtle.
You still should have made it more subtle.
How so? You have to know it's gold but you want it more subtle?
I'd recommend doing what Rammlied suggested, but if you really want to do Gold Ore, then make it blend with the stone more. Ore is revealed from where there isn't stone, but the way you made it looks like it was glued on. Try to make it look like it's "oozing" out slightly, like an actual gem.
Can we not do rating ores? They basically never come out well. [editline]8th April 2012[/editline] Claimin' ladders and rails. [editline]8th April 2012[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/NzO8K.png[/t] Ladders are kind of bad. The brown checkered thing is supposed to be rope. Also, I couldn't figure out a nice way to do detectors, so I'll leave that to someone else.

I like how it's similar to boosters. Should I change boosters so instead of straight gold, it fades from iron to gold?
Good one, Flak. I like how it's similar to boosters. Should I change boosters so instead of straight gold, it fades from iron to gold?
Yeah, do gold middle and silver fronts, that would look so nice.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/Z6rI7.png[/t] I also lowered the contrast on the dark parts of the iron, so it actually fits in with the gold's contrast.
Looks good.
By the way, if we completely change what an item or block is, (Bow into a crossbow) I'll edit the .lang file to show the tooltip as what we changed it to. When we get to items, I claim bow, by the way.
Jesus christ, I left for one day and this happens. First of all NO RATINGS BLOCKS. And second, someone add some damn shading and noise to the jukebox, it doesn't fix the other blocks.

[t]http://puu.sh/oEZp[/t] Keep yes or no?

I can see it just fine.
Why do people take screenshots of things in near total darkness and then ask others how it looks?
Because I forgot to change the time, and I'm sleepy.
Glad to see that we're at this again. I was considering updating the old texture pack for the latest versions of Minecraft and bumping the thread in an attempt to get this project going again. Couple of questions, though: Why did we decide to abandon all of the textures from the previous effort, and should this pack have Connected Textures mod and Random Mobs mod support?
I vote yes to connected textures mod while we're still doing terrain, and I think we should decide random mobs support when we get to doing the other parts of the world besides terrain/items. Also as to zing - sorry, I thought it was gold ore. If it was glowstone last time that looked good then that's the block I mean. My memory isn't fantastic.
