Facepunch Collaborative Texture Pack v2 - Let's try that again...

Someone post the terrain file with the stone slab. I'll do another texture or two today. Maybe a test house to show it all off also.
Maybe add some sort of border?
Will try.

Which one?

or

First. Also try to smooth out or lighten the lines on the stone, not the border.

The second one just has no big shadow-y thing.
Try making the shadowy part 1 pixel wide, but make one half of it lighter than the normal stone, so it doesn't look like random shadows.

Do you manually darken every color? Or do you add an opaque layer of black above it, and then flatten the layers?
Claiming wools. All the wools. All of them.

Eh, 4/16, close enough.

For that one I did every color.
The wools need more noise.

I do it with a layer of opaque black, set to multiply. Then when it needs to be a PNG, I just flatten the image.

Could you add separators on the side texture? so that the side of the halfblock has a border?
Fix the transparency mate.
how? (nvm, it was fixed)
how? (nvm, it was fixed)
You edited it in MSPaint, and in case you didn't notice, the torches in minecraft are not large crosses of black space with a sprite of a torch in the middle.
taking bricks

Paint.net or Gimp
The shadows on the halfblock needs to be fixed, as does the jukebox and the pumpkin. Any takers?
I'd do it, but since I have a new computer I haven't installed photoshop yet and I can't find my disk.

Reposting the glowstone texture from last thread
Agree/disagree with post for adding it:

If we do add it, i'll also try making a redstone lamp out of it.
it's too hard to tell it's the zing graphic. Give it less colour variation.

That's the point.
Did redstone torch in the same style as the normal torch:

Oh goddamnit. I got 9 agrees on this and I lost the original post with the normal-sized graphic.
Wait, no, found it.

If anyone wants to have a go at re-trying the redstone lamps, feel free. I ain't a good image designer when it comes to pixels like this anymore. That said, I am quite proud of the active lamp.
Maybe reuse a default texture and recolor it?
I claim pistons! Sticky and normal one :D EDIT: I don't know if it's good, maybe some ratings?
Sticky needs more stick.
[editline]14th April 2012[/editline]
By that I mean, add more green goop.
I feel like the Piston shouldn't be made of iron, but cobble, with iron hidden between the extension and the main part of the block, so you can only see it when it's extended.
[editline]14th April 2012[/editline]
Also, can we have the top-most of the piston be a duplicate of the wood block or would that look bad? It'd be interesting for plank flooring with hidden tables or hidden areas or whatever.
