I think the cobble looks better with less contrast, thoughts?
Nah. Contrast looks great, since the cobble is supposed to be smashed to shit. [editline]20th April 2012[/editline] Done with Obsidian.
You guys can fix up my Furnace/Dispenser, since i don't really know what you guys want me to do with it, here's PSD. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/47363951/terrain.psd
Claiming stone bricks [editline]21st April 2012[/editline]
whoever edited the brick, you messed up the tiling effect. I'm alright with it, it's a good change for the most part, but tell me next time. I'll fix it. [editline]21st April 2012[/editline] [editline]21st April 2012[/editline] also would anyone object to me taking end portals? Thinking I'll make them dumb boxes.

fair enough then, just think it has potential to look good and make it a little bit more facepunch-y
fair enough then, just think it has potential to look good and make it a little bit more facepunch-y
Personally I just want to get out of boring terrain, and start doing item textures.
Personally I just want to get out of boring terrain, and start doing item textures.
Well then we need to finish the terrain then, eh?
every time i look at the cobblestone i think it looks like an eggplant.
can't unsee Personally I don't like the cobblestone, it just looks kind of odd to me as it is. Not that I can really contribute, I'm about as artistic as a squashed tomato.

I can't help but dislike the cobblestone purely because although it fits what "cobblestone" is quite well, it really looks horrible in building. It should fit into NPC villages better, not to mention dungeons don't look that good with it.

Far better.
It fits fine. I think it looks great in building, and at least it's better than vanilla. Far better.
I'd have to disagree there. In all the buildings I've tried incorporating it into its been really unfitting. It has heavier contrast and more noise than the other blocks. Its cracks are also rather odd.

Its cracks are also rather odd.
The contrast and noise don't bother me so much as the downright strange cracks looking out of place no matter where they're stuck. In the above image of a dungeon, it doesn't look like a dungeon anymore, it looks like an underground area that someone has hollowed out themselves and stuck a spawner in as a poor attempt to make a dungeon. It's cobbled, sure, but it doesn't actually fit anywhere you'd expect things to be cobbled, besides maybe plugging a hole in the wall temporarily if you're out of another material.
I thought "Cobblestone" was used to imply stone that had been cobbled together after being broken, rather than the IRL view of it, but now I can see how it looks like that in-game and I really think that's the type of cobble we should have.
Yeah I know, but in minecraft you get cobble by smashing up stone with your pick. I guess our cobble should look like real cobble though. Not that picture though, that's far too bright.
i see a problem there... Minecraft is made of squares... round stones arent exactly possible :D
i see a problem there... Minecraft is made of squares... round stones arent exactly possible :D
[t]http://www.biorust.com/tutorials/ps-isometricpixelart/Image-14.jpg[/t] Sweet unholy mother of christ.
Done with brown shroom. I did it 2 days ago but never posted it. Also gold brick, but I don't like them.
I wish I knew how to make textures :( But so far the texture pack looks good. Great job people!
Reposting the glowstone texture from last thread Agree/disagree with post for adding it: If we do add it, i'll also try making a redstone lamp out of it.
Heheh, I remember making this. I'm glad it's being reused. I have 3 other textures I made for the last pack. They were the dispenser and furnace graphics. None of them were used last time so maybe they would be good to have in this pack. [editline]Aaanndd...[/editline] I just remembered I made an item texture aswell. I know we aren't doing those yet, but I thought it was quite funny. It's a 16x16 version of Spandau Ballet's gold album. Guess what it was meant to replace.
I can't help but see that furnace as goatse, so i'm voting no purely for that. [editline]26th April 2012[/editline]
I don't like the iron block either, but I do like those half-slabs. Not sure if I prefer those or the previous, so I suggest another vote. Agree for johnlmonkey's half-slabs, Disagree for FlakTheMighty's half-slabs Also john and flak are not allowed to vote.
Just pointing out a week later, the votes finally imbalanced on this, in favour of Flak's slabs. I do wish that they looked more like 2 blocks rather than a block sawn in half, but someone needs to swap out John's slabs with Flak's old ones.
Fixed some weird black dots again.
Anyone object to me doing the iron door? The one we have looks pretty bad, IMO.
Re-added Flak's slabs
[t]http://puu.sh/rNvu[/t] Stop fucking up the pack guys. [editline]27th April 2012[/editline] I fixed it. AGAIN.
