Love steam, its a great asset for PC gamers. Though I hate how it takes 2-3 hours just to install a big game.
What do you mean? Sometimes I play the same game on two different computers. (On the same Steam account)
Yeah but the thing about that is you can not play together with the same account which I understand but you can't even be on the Internet with the second one! [editline]23rd December 2010[/editline]
Then it would not stop pirates. (Duh!) About 3 seconds (gcf is easy to extract) then about never for it to actually work, thats why steam is NOT optional. Its just so much more work to crack it then to just pay 20 bucks for it.
Exept steam has never stopped pirating once! Try searching l4d2 on a torrent site.
I wish it was more like Impulse; you buy your game and then can run the game without needing to keep the buying/download/community program open.
I loooove steam~

Also it has, look at pirated copies of HL2 vs Mw2, or any other non steam based games (Mw2 is not steam based)
Only thing I don't like is that downloads tent to go "Suspended" on random.
I absolutely hate that you have to have Steam running to play games. It does nothing but take away performance from the game itself.
STEAM OWNS MY SOOOOOOOOOOOOOUL /caps
I like it until it crashes for no god damn reason. After 1 hour of waiting for it to fix itself it might crash again. And again. And again. But it's one of the only ways to get original games in Malaysia, so I'm grateful for that.
steam rarely crash for me. and yeah its one off the few ways to get games in Malaysia
I like Steam, but sometimes it's so god damn slow and it takes up too much memory. They need to optimize it more.
Steam's a wonderful thing with how it works and all. Imo, truly revolutionary in some ways. I like that part. Now, how Steam works and it's oh-so-lovely coding, on the other hand....
Love steam, its a great asset for PC gamers. Though I hate how it takes 2-3 hours just to install a big game.
That's not really Steam's fault though, downloading a lot of data will take a lot of time even if you didn't use Steam.
Say what you will about Steam but VAC is much better than the piece of shit Punkbuster.
If steam were a black woman, I'd fuck her.
due to my limitations, I'd really prefer if steam start selling retail cards like iTunes does, It'll make it a lot easier to get ahold of games.
Well it's better than EA download manager and Games for Windows.
how does one block Valve from Steam?
How does Valve generate internet drama via Steam? I don't think you have any idea what I'm talking about.
Yeah but the thing about that is you can not play together with the same account which I understand but you can't even be on the Internet with the second one! [editline]23rd December 2010[/editline] Exept steam has never stopped pirating once! Try searching l4d2 on a torrent site.
Are you retarded or just trolling. Because if you are trolling it isn't working. Steam wasn't designed to stop pirating at all. Pirating valve games or steam enabled games is retarded because you require a valid SteamID to enter any servers (and of course that game verified by steam that you are the owner of it) If I pirated L4D2 I wouldn't be able to enter any servers at all, maybe a couple of poorly hosted Russian servers but I rather play with 12,000 people not -22

I'm not sure if I should take a guy called 'PEn1s lol' seriously.
It's good but the download speed can be very slow sometimes. I also love it when they have sales
Steam is good, GFWL should be destroyed instead.
Besides all the freezing up and my slow download speed (But that can be blamed on my ISP) I like Steam a lot.
I also love it when they have sales
Who doesn't?
The only reason I dislike Steam is because I can't download the same game on to multiple computers and have LAN parties.
I like it. It's unobtrusive, it adds features, it keeps everything organized and has awesome sales.
The only reason I dislike Steam is because I can't download the same game on to multiple computers and have LAN parties.
Why don't you download the game once and then share it locally instead?
Yes, I do.
Nice options OP  Clearly not trying to trololololol console gamers...:ninja:
Steam is good. It would be perfect if Offline mode worked.
