runescape has 154 quests to date, not counting some of the subquests involved. and what ever happened to quality over quantity?
I've played both for quite a bit of time, and Runescape does have its advantages. The profession system in Runescape is better in my opinion, as are Runescape's quests. Both games have terrible communities, though WoW's community is better than Runescape's. Runescape's combat sucks terribly compared to WoW's. As far as the way servers work, the systems both work best for their respective games.
The problem with all MMOs is that there has to be a definition of the best player in the server. This is normally decided as being the person who grinds the most. Therefore, all MMOs up until now have been grind fests. I think that they always will be. Have fun in WoW.

Any MMO that is free to play will usually have a shittier community. That's the way it goes. Still, runescape is a fun way to pass time away.
