What OS are you using? Vista won't let me install black and white :(
XP. [editline]19th January 2011[/editline]
ALT + S [editline]20th January 2011[/editline] I'm running on Windows 7 64 Bit and having no trouble whatsoever.
I knew there was an ingame screenshot feature! Cheers!
Stop hiding Page 8 [editline]20th January 2011[/editline] Dook, accept my friend request so that we may discuss Black and White matters of no importance.
Done and done.
Stop hiding Page 8 [editline]20th January 2011[/editline] Dook, accept my friend request so that we may discuss Black and White matters of no importance.
It says that "This version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher." I run vista 64Bit and I tried compatibility mode for XP and 95/98. Also running in admin mode or whatever. [editline]19th January 2011[/editline] Well if no one can help me, is it worth getting Black and White 2? I want a game to see my animal do what he wants and shit.
I think my game is lost forever. :( I don't even remember getting rid of it or giving it to someone.
NOOOO, THAT'S NOT RIGHT. THE GREEN RING YOU SEE IS THE EXTENT OF YOUR INFLUENCE. [sp]God dammit, if you're my conscience why can't I shut you up?[/sp]
I lost my creatures ball toy, how do I get a new one? D:
Fuck, I have the CD's for B&W2, but lost the CD Key. Any solutions?
lol wrong thread

But most likely not. Seems both games have some trouble on Vista, from the quick search I did. http://forums.gamespy.com/black_white_1_creature_isle/b49194/20106755/r20107097/ If you want to see your animal do what he wants B&W is the game you want. B&W2 makes the creature more like a robot really. You just teach him if something is good or bad, and then he knows. Found it quite boring in B&W2, while in B&W you have no idea what he will do next. Had so much trouble trying to teach my creature how to plant trees randomly around, then water them. He always wanted to just plant trees in one spot. Then crap on it. Stupid little monkey.
woot There will be an LP? sounds fun. :buddy:
Okay, since I really can't be bothered with B&W2, and I'm still having trouble running the first one, I wanted to try what several forums from Google Search suggested: Turning off AGP texture acceleration. Only, I have no idea how to do that. Would someone give me a nod in the right direction?
here's an old LP of B&W1 from Something Awful http://lparchive.org/Black-and-White/
I shat laughter. Everything he said about the old white dude is exactly what I (and probably everyone else) was thinking, back to watching!
This is From Dust, and yes the liquid physics/animations do look fucking awesome. Hope they show it off in E3.
Is there any release date for it?
I used to play this with my cousin, good times.
I have no fucking idea what happened to my save, but everyone I pick up immediately dies, as does anyone who I talk to (silver scroll). :froggonk: Deaaath. Deaaath. Deaaath. Deaaath. Deaaath.
bloody hell the second Japanese land is hard :( They send soldiers and catapults pretty much straight away, which doesn't bode well for a peaceful God, and a creature that prefers to attack trees.
Just get your walls up the first thing you do and you'll be alright. When they attack, just send out your creature through the gate and attack the catapult. Once it's out, just return in. Keep doing that and you'll be fine.
So just patching the game should fix it`s unplayability on newer systems?
The fucking temple heartbeat is doing my head in. :byodood:
Am I the only one who liked the evil consciensce more than the good one?
Am I the only one who liked the evil consciensce more than the good one?
I find him to be more annoying. Plus his breasts disgust me.
I always listened to the evil conscience, hovels, armies and lots of wolf creature fire wonders. Breeder, Breeder, Breeder, Breeder, Breeder, Breeder, Breeder, Breeder, Breeder, Breeder, Breeder, Breeder, Builder. Also Volcano wonder :v:
Am I the only one who liked the evil consciensce more than the good one?
The evil consciensce is cool and make the funnier comments, he doesn't really seem evil, just cool. The good consciensce... so boring.
I thought B&W2 was pretty good, but I've never played B&W1 before. How is the multiplayer?
I should try to install B&W1 once again on my W7 x64. Last time I had some issues though.
Am I the only one who liked the evil consciensce more than the good one?
I liked the Evil conscience, and I find the Good conscience to be a bit of a tool. But I prefer being good so I end up listening to Goodie more often than not. ....Was he called Goodie? I'm sure I remember him being called that somewhere
Evil is too easy. It's just Fuck Shit Up, divine style. And it gets bowring pretty quick. Good on the other hand is much more challenging. :buddy:
Zooming, as you see, iz ekzstremely uzeful.
