Nope, just checked. It's not available. Try eBay? [editline]23rd January 2011[/editline] http://cgi.ebay.com/Black-White-Lionhead-Studios-2002-PC-Game-/120672699955?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item1c18a74633
I was thinking that I could just buy it and DL then play it within a few hours. It would be faster for me to just drive into town and buy it then drive back instead of waiting a few weeks for it to get here from ebay
Isn't there a way to make skeletons alive again in the first game? Can't remember how to do it, but I remember I had at least one walking skeleton in each land.

Unless you're really lucky.

Other than that, there might be a miracle, but if so, then I don't know of it.
Skeleton glitch is achieved by sending a skeleton through a teleport. They'll then walk around like normal, but I don't think they can be made disciples. [editline]22nd January 2011[/editline] Ya, my friend told me about the second land one, but I was thinking of the glitch.
I doubt you'll "just find it" in your local store. It just snowed 3 feet over the last week and they haven't gotten around to plowing every road. I wanted to find it online and do it that way instead of spending a few dangerous hours venturing into town to buy it
OH GOD! Japan used their hurricane the same time I used the earthquake! MUTUALLY ASSURED DESTRUCTION!!
How can they even use magic if they're not gods??? I've always been a bit disappointed in B&W2, really. I don't think they ever really captured this atmosphere, for example. Peter's - back then - catastrophic hyping of features they didn't have time or money to finish certainly didn't help. I had hoped for permanent terrain deformation, flowing water and lava, a more intelligent creature, more self sustainable villagers who could go to war with your creature as their leader. I guess you can still see those in the final game, actually. But they're all so half-baked and never plays into the gameplay much at all. Instead there is this extreme simplification of the game into a simplistic Sim City clone merged with an extremely lackluster RTS and a boring, mechanical robot for a companion. The quests don't do a lot to draw you into the story and the world either. Mostly transformed into shiny buttons that do little to break up the Sim City RTS. And the characters of the advisors are now as weak and uninspiring as the quests. I'd love to see the new, mature Lionhead do an ambitious second take at this, but I'll settle for Dust for now. Also what's up with the lack of multi-player!? >:(
Me: That will teach you to shit on my trees! Creature: *Obtained numerous cuts, bruises and one black eye* Me: And what are you going to tell the civilians if they ask? Creature: I... I fell...
Wait.... the creature isnt supposed to take a shit under a tree? Where then? My cow took a dump in the middle of the village (Killing a kid with a direct shot, btw) so I bitch slapped her till she started doing it under trees. Is it the wrong thing to do? D:

D:
Nothing is really wrong. If you want to teach your creature to take a dump on the beach ball you get, you can do that. You are the God after all. And from what I remember, you could teach your creature an awful lot. But the tips site that was linked earlier in the thread says that it is better to not always reward fully or slap fully for stuff. Instead you reward and punish based on how good or bad the deed was. I really want to install this again just to try that out really. But I got so many other games to play. Damn time.
But punishing is too fun, you get carried away hitting it and you end up at 100% in no time lol
I remember hearing if you beat your creature enough times after every time he poops, he'll eventually just stop pooping altogether.
I don't like beating my creature. Too much of a softie when it comes to animals in general I think.
Am in PETA, and belive me, I beat the fuck out of my cow. it's just too hilarious when they fall over. :v:
Am in PETA, and belive me, I beat the fuck out of my cow. it's just too hilarious when they fall over. :v:
In 2 or 1?
I get so sad when he does the little whimper afterwards. [editline]23rd January 2011[/editline] Fucker managed to die too after the troll fight. Beat him for dying. He won't be doing that again any time soon.
How do I make my creature stronger in creature fights?
In Black & White 2 there is like a 24000 miracle building or something that's supposed to make the whole island join you? What the hell is it and what does it really do?

But when the Japanese used it against my army they just all died :v: Those brave, loyal men. They'd rather die than join the Japanese... You can buy the second one easily in a store, yes and online if you look hard enough.
Wait.... the creature isnt supposed to take a shit under a tree? Where then?
Best thing is to have him poop on the grain fields, as poop serves as fertilizer. Plants are fine too. I like just having him leachless, actually. He'll become really independent and fun to watch that way. [editline]23rd January 2011[/editline]
How do I make my creature stronger in creature fights?
Make him bigger, make him exercise. That is, lifting the largest rock you can make him. Teach him offensive miracles and just practice fighting on anything you can. Eventually he should be able to win fights on his own. Picking a fighter species doesn't hurt.

Holy crap! I forgot how great it looks. Especially for a 6 year old game. I mean that looks better than some really new games like CoD, MC or SC2. Edit: Installing right now .../Black & White 2/Data/Everything.stuff :raise:
B&W2 was one of the flagship games for the X800 wasn't it?
Being good just isn't as fun
I keep giving him rocks but he either tosses them away or eats them.
Give him a rock, then tell him to go to the other side of the map.
My creature has become an asshole now. All he does is kick/throw my villagers around and use lightning on anything that's mine including the temple. Plus he doesn't know how to eat by himself what do I do?

I used to burn wood, pick it up, and hoover it above the enemies towns. You can't drop it outside your influence, but it still burns people and objects. ha
Punch it in the face when it does something bad and pet it when it's eating.
I did punch him, he acts sad then goes right back to doing it. He's nearly always pissed too no matter what leash is on him. But reading that black and white tips page I think I fucked up raising him and he's rebellious now.
