What's this cart thing? I was actually looking for this last night on the KSP forums but I couldn't find it. I want to build little rover thingies.
so uh why the masks?
Wearing protective masks and goggles, as is customary for the opening of a hatch to any newly arrived vehicle at the station, Pettit entered the Dragon with Station Commander Oleg Kononenko. The goggles and masks will be removed once the station atmosphere has had a chance to mix air with the air inside the Dragon itself.
After you see the dragon picture with them flowing in the door way go and watch it dock again and realize how huge it is :D
As for KOSMOS news now that FP is back-ish. Rebuild the RD-0146 engine. Orignally wanted to have clusters of them but this was sort of ugly... so I just made it 80% bigger and made it a 1 meter engine. I completely redid the plumping for it. and will be Deploying the nozzle and chamber o reduce them. it is actually only slightly more than the last model because i was bad at poly reduction then.

Also, thanks to NovaS I was able to get the engine heating effects working on the lander engine :)

PELF. There is have a node hot fix on the KOSMOS thread.
Please note the directions. it is.. weird. feel free to DL and copy the vector points. Played with secular and normals a bit. (did this in about 4 minutes :D ) Exciting stuff.

any idea how to prevent the day night cycle? I cannot land at night for the life of me

land on the other side
I made a little jump jet. The jet engines are a bit slow to respond, so it's tricky to find a sweet spot for gaining and dropping altitude. But apart from that, it's surprisingly stable!

Build rocket that can fly out of the atmosphere, fly up and speed up time all the way until the space center is in the sun again.
Ugh, I really love the DownUnder pack. It has my favorite aesthetic, it's simple to use, and I love how the parts are balanced. But lately I've been having so much trouble making larger stuff with it. For whatever reason large rockets tend to fall apart when either carrying heavy stuff or under a lot of power. It's really unreliable to use.
I think their collision meshes are wonky or something. I don't really know but it's becoming unusable and I don't know of any other part packs that are simple, complete, and as good looking as DownUnder.
someone made a spaceport

it can fly by itself, so it won't be any trouble landing it somewhere.

That jumpjet means they must have fixed the bug where your ship divides by zero if you go backwards with wings.

Standard procedure in case there's anything wrong with the atmosphere inside the Dragon (could be caused by leaks, etc.)
or somehow stuff rotting

I don't understand how it helps though. Say there was something wrong, what are they going to do, wear the masks forever?

They are quite stylish though...

The first thing they do when they enter is test for toxins.
If they do find something that's wrong with it, it should be possible to seal the Dragon and use the Space Station systems to clean the air inside the ISS.
They would probably have to disconnect the Dragon.
Does anyone have another mirror for the Saturn V parts pack? I tried the link in the thread and the page cannot be found once I try to start the download.
It was a few pages back man...

Those drop tanks: WANT!
I skipped an update a while back and have noticed this.

I was wondering what the different things mean?
I guess that the yellow ghost of the object is where it will be when my ship gets to the blue circle? So I would want to try and get the blue circle to be on the yellow ghost if I wanted to land there?

The ghost is indeed where it's going to be when you get to the blue circle.
The blue circle is where you enter the moons sphere of influence, which basically means that you will be in orbit around that moon instead of whatever you are currently orbiting.
When you enter the sphere of influence (SoI), you will first get to the Pe-marker, this marks the lowest point you will ever be above the moon.
Later is the orange circle, which is where you will exit the moons SoI.
If you want to land on it, you should do a retrograde (oposite to movement direction) burn when you enter the SoI. The closer you are to the Pe (periapsis), the more effective the burn.
If you do that burn for a while, you will eventually enter a closed orbit around the moon.
So in this case I would do a retrograde burn once I get to the blue marker and that should take me down onto the moon?
So in this case I would do a retrograde burn once I get to the blue marker and that should take me down onto the moon?
After you get into the orange line, close to the Pe-marker is more efficient.
That will get you an orbit around Mun, and from there you can lower that orbit until it intersects the Mun surface, and gradually slow down as you get closer to it.
The problem I seem to be having now is that when I start the retro grade the blue line moves away from the moon.

Meaning the rocket will move away from the moon rather than towards it and the yellow line seems to take no effect on it?

Continue burning, you need to lower the speed you have so much that it's no longer enough to exit the moons SoI.
The yellow line there is how your orbit will be after you exit the SoI, it doesn't change noticeably with small burns.
Well this is new.

Looks like you'll have a long orbit around Kerbin before getting caught by the Mun's gravity again.
Oh god, it's going well?
I might finally land on the Mun....

The lunar orbit sped up the rocket too fast and we crashed. Although the mission was a failure you have taught me alot I didn't know. Thanks! Maybe soon I shall land.
