That way that part can stay stable as a single part in your rocket instead of it being like a cabinet full of shit.

I'm still not all very happy using the NovaPunch pack though. It has way too many parts of hugely differing style, functionality, and balance. It feels really cobbled together from different stuff. Probably because it is.

It will be balanced more like Silisko Edition, as we think this will make the pack easier to work with and conform better to a universal balance standard (we'll have a download for the same pack balanced like old KW for those who prefer). Here's a sneak peek at a couple of things we've done so far. On the left is the as yet untextured basic 1m workhorse motor, and on the right a couple of fuel tanks. My fucking 3DS Max refuses to render textures properly at the moment, so the tanks are just snaps from my viewport. For anyone interested, here are the drop tanks I made. They're pretty small, so they're really only good for fighter jet sized planes. They provide about a fourth of the fuel inside a regular fuselage. [url]http://www.mediafire.com/?3w1n7f1dld61a2i[/url] There are two parts. The ejector can be surface mounted on anything. The drop tanks snap onto a hardpoint on the ejector. There is also the Drop Tank itself, which can be attached either on any surface permanently, or attached to the hardpoint on the ejector so that they can be jettisoned. Just remember to ALWAYS leave about 5-10 px around the edges of the UV, otherwise bad things happen (jagged black lines down UV seams).
