I think 0 is just defined as 200km from the center, then there's a bunch of mountains and hills above that. Hnnnng, the time acceleration in this game is so shittily unoptimised. Why does it lag the game and continue accelerating for about half a second after you try and turn it off? I have lost so many spacecraft because of this shit.
I really wish this game would be on steam, all of mods are such a hassle to update and steam workshop would be perfect for this game.

so happy I actually managed to get my module onto the Mun. I dont know whether to feel bad considering I done it with MechJeb. but still. its pretty cool.

I might have to give that a try. sounds like fun.
If docking is going to be a big thing in KSP, I would really appreciate a way to test zero-G thruster navigation quickly. Without having to go through the process of designing a rocket and getting it into orbit, I mean.

That lag doesn't happen when changing from, for example, 2x to 1x or 10x to 5x, it only happens when you change from something that is 5 or above, to something that is 2 or below. You could made a bug thread about it in the development section in the KSP forums, if you wanted. It's got some "Very Low" terrain setting that works pretty damn fast compared to 0.15's lowest. It's pretty much just the "Low" setting with the water detail kicked down a notch or 2. It's pretty handy - it keeps all the old settings there, and adds a new one. Overwrite your entire settings.cfg with this: [url]http://pastebin.com/f2zphBU4[/url]

I'm finding it really difficult to know whether or not I even turned on a certain option or my rocket is waiting or if it's okay to warp. I know it's third party, but I really wish it was refined before being implemented. It also needs that little (?) help menu the rest of the menus have.

Goddammit trying to get my mun rover onto the Mun. 2 attempts and both of them failed right when I got there. First attempt my fuel tanks blew up for no apparent reason right when I was just landing. and the second attempt my rover just fell onto its back when it got on the ground and exploded. and I only just landed too. Guess im gonna have to try again. also. are there any techniques on how to get the rover onto the muns surface? Im just going about it with the land the rocket then the rover just brakes from the rocket and falls to the ground. [editline]11th June 2012[/editline] But still, not even feeling fraustrated. which actually is a first for me in games. but in this, it feels okay to fail. because you can always fix it up a notch just to make it to work.
