Does anyone still have that or the E series engines?
hahaha do you see the EVE bumper sticker in that picture?

Just found 0.8.5 hidden away on my computer, will see if I have them.

i wonder what Elon's play style on eve is
Also E-series engine?
Haven't touched KSP since it stopped being free.
Read HarvesteR's updates about EVAs.
Instant pre-order.
Well woop:

The engines only found on the repository before it died and came back as feces. They were named E-500, E-800, E-1000. Anyone remember them?
how come some people see the atmosphere at further distances? is that an addon?
Landed on the surface in 0.9.3
everything (which are debris from the landing) bounces around when I move :v:
My god the water is solid.
My moon rocket weighs 78.1 tons.
This game needs a fucking quicksave function.
Also I don't understand why my ship rotates incredibly slowly on RCS if I don't have the engine on.
Turning the engine on gives a MASSIVE boost in control.
I'm guessing a part is bugged out somewhere.
Guys talking about engines causing RCS to work: no, it didn't effect the RCS. It's just that gimballing engines give a lot of rotational control.
EDIT:
Oh jeeze, I just had major nostalgia due to you guys talking about 0.8... The terrain shimmered, they entire dark side of Kerbin was infested with landmines, the sun stayed static relative to you, Kerbin didn't rotate, the atmosphere ended as a brick wall at around 35km....
No orbital map (people even doubted if you could orbit!), no timewarp, no RCS, no ASAS (just good 'ol SAS), no moveable winglets, no Mun, none of that. Hell, in the very first public KSP release you couldn't even stack fuel tanks!
EDIT again:
Oh, and forgot to mention... no struts.
wobblewobblewobblewobble
I think I came in around the release of .9. Fun times were had just sending stuff straight up and being proud of making it go to the side and not crash back into Kerbin.
I remember an early parts pack that I downloaded, it had this part with RCS thrusters in the texture, since RCS had not been introduced yet, and the part itself increased rotational power of the rocket so much that I started doing stunts with my rockets. My favorite was steering the rocket toward the VAB, and then angling up at the last second so that every part below the CM would crash into the building, but the CM would keep flying through the air, allowing you to deploy the parachute and land it.
Good times.
Nova on part balancing:
My ideal balancing point at its most basic, is that to get into a low orbit, you don't need much rocket - to get a considerable payload to the mun, you need quite a lot of rocket. For example, a simple rocket to put a capsule into orbit with a total weight of 1.5 units might consist of: the payload, decoupler, halfsize fuel tank, upper stage engine, decoupler, 3 normal fuel tanks (or possibly less), and a powerful lower stage engine. So, for smaller rockets, it wouldn't be terribly different than what we already have.
What's Minimus? Is that some new place to crash into?
Since when has this had landers and a moon?
What's Minimus? Is that some new place to crash into?
Yes, Minmus is the second moon of Kerbin and looks like this:
I finally landed on the moon!
Pity it was with the Earth landing stage due to accidentally separating the moon-land-earth-return stage.

Also, what's new in Kosmos 4.1?
ah. This had me laughing quite a bit. "this is a terrible idea" I found it while trying to find video of yesterdays thing in mcgregor TX but i cannot find video of it :(

Witchcraft!
Also are there any missile mods where you can actually control the missiles, or do I have to build the missiles myself.

You guys remember this? :D
What am I supposed to remember?
It's a part back from 0.8 that was used to make your rockets more controllable.
Was basically a pod that had extra torque, back then you could add pods from the part menu.
The RCS before RCS.
I never used that.

I like my lumbering rockets.

Yeah, I found this on the SA thread a while ago and posted it here. Still amazing no matter how many times I watch it, though.
I think Elon was entranced by pretty woman so he was showing off with that sword.
also, huh. I never noticed the fake engine pods on the side of the mock up capsule for crews before. Apparently they are looking to attempt to test later this year? so.. 2013 first or 2nd quarter perhaps :D
