[url]http://www.astronautix.com/graphics/n/node2.jpg[/url] an make some sort of Common berthing door that is alll normal maps. you just model ti abd back it onto the low poly model. you can color it with poly paint. some of these raised Xs in normal maps. but Xs are usually distorted as they are diagonal lines so maby + or something. My MechJeb transfers to Minmus keep failing. I start from a standard 90degree orbit but MechJeb has failed me twice. Fuel isn't a problem. Anyone else having this issue?

Sweet mother of baby jesus I am finding it hard to launch a decently-sized kosmos space station into space The angara rockets are really underpowered (although I'm probably doing something very wrong) and the KW rockets are being very rude to me again. (The hercules always makes the entire thing wobble when thrusting in space)

They're actually really powerful, but you have to arrange them in the ways they were designed to be. For your upper stage, use the larger diameter tank and the quad engined engine. For your lower stages, use the 1m tank and engine, but be prepared to radially mount more tanks/rockets. Also keep in mind that you will likely have to use struts to further secure radially mounted rockets and to also keep the whole thing from wobbling. Most of the thrust duration comes from the two, long side mounted rockets, with help from a central, staged rocket. It's a really cool looking design when you see it fly. Finally managed to do my first rendezvous. Very easy to do once you get the maneuvers down-pat. Once I get into radar range I generally do it all with the ship view and mainly RCS. Then I went and rendezvoused with a stranded pod in an irregular orbit around the Mun, worked like a charm and my lander-leg grabby things worked fine to hold it. I burned it and the rescue ship together out of orbit of the Mun, but when I went to speed things up to avoid having to wait for the SOI to change to Kerbin, physics glitched and broke the parachute off of the stranded pod and two lander legs off of the rescue craft. Anyhow I was in direct contact with the stranded pod for ~4h in-game time so I ended the flight for it (without a parachute it would be impossible to land) and chalked it up to myself that they docked and transferred into the rescue craft, which I landed safely. The stranded pod had Jeb in it too :c. So I launched another rescue craft and picked a random vessel in orbit around Minmus. As I came to the final stage of rendezvous, I noticed it was neither a pod nor stranded! [IMG]http://u.filepak.com/5nF2_screenshot44.png[/IMG]

Almost got into orbit on that last launch. I baisically landed half way around kerbin :v The main thing that made me think about mods is that there dont seem to be any nose cones. Those solid rocket boosters probably make a lot of drag with their flat tops

[editline]18th June 2012[/editline] I just reformatted my computer and KSP doesn't work anymore. I tried downloading a fresh version and it didn't work either. It doesn't need any other programs to work, does it? EDIT: I get "KSP.exe has stopped working" right when I launch it. Has anyone ever had this or know how to fix it? I can't find anything on the KSP forums
