Why do I have a feeling I might have to make recovery vehicles for all of the kerbals who fall during EVA and drift off into space?
This game is like Space Dwarf Fortress, if Dwarves were green and forts were rockets.
Ion engines are awesome, but a little useless for these distances.. It got to the moon on the 2nd stage, leaving about 100 m/s left in the 2nd stage and the ion engine. I ended up dropping it after a couple orbits.

the lander descending onto the surface...

I think you guys can figure out why this happened:

the lander tipped over and the decoupler exploded, flipping the rover over.. I managed to get it working with no damage though. lesson: find a flat surface to land on
What addon has that rover?
http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=8431.0
carts and mun rover. I usually put it on a lander, all you do is just roll it over and hope it doesn't smash. I'm sure there is a better way though
I normally add a rcs and fly off the decoupler, move a bit to the right then land
Isn't someone making a sky crane? That'll be useful.

Yeah I posted a link for mine a few pages back ill go and rustle it up again

The guy who made that beautiful MER-A/B-Esque rover just released a skycrane for it today!
A fellow Facepuncher by the name of Shoar and myself have teamed up to make a site for hosting KSP mods. Kinda like garrysmod.org for garrysmod. We are aware of the highly steam-looking theme and we will be making a light/white theme once the site is actually working. So far so good however. A little teaser of what we have got so far...

Oh cool, you used my screenshot. That mun base couldn't stand up under its own weight.

I like the dark theme, although it could use a little bit of color
I haven't put anything into orbit in over a week. Ive been making planes, rocket cars, and other silly vehicles

EVA is fun.. can't wait until the new KSP version is released.

It would be cool if for larger rockets with multiple engines on one stage, you could gain some rotational control by varying the output of the individual engines, even if they dont have any thrust vectoring
Also whats the altitude for keostationary orbit?

How?
LPT: If your joystick secures to the desk by means of suction cups, wiping the cups and the desk down with a wet paper towel before attaching will prevent sliding
So close, and yet so far...
My goal before .16 came out was to land on Minimus, then land on the Mun, then return to Kerbil all with one space craft.
I have failed that last part. Using only the stock parts I've been able to land on Minimus and then the Mun, but after each landing I am just flat out of gas.
Out of 15 attempts my best got me off the Mun and put me in a high eliptical orbit around Kerbil. I have no way to leave that orbit and there are only three outcomes: 1) Eventually I'll crash back into the Mun. 2) I'll miss the Mun and be ejected out of Kerbil orbit and into Solar orbit. 3) I'll get really lucky and the Mun will fling me at Kerbil.
Having exausted what I can do with stock parts I'm looking at mods. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
Minmus, Mün and Kerbin.
I am now on a quest to map both the Mün and Minmus
I like functional satellites
Currently have a mapping satellite in polar orbit of the Mün
Landing legs suck. I've launched about ten lander nodes meant to mark the location of Kerbal Space Center so I know where it is from orbit, and every time, the legs glitch and flip the craft on its side.
i haven't gotten to minmus yet :(
