Don't be afraid to use more boosters, or strut connectors to make your rocket stable.

There is a high probability your rocket will explode. Don't worry, unless it doesn't explode then you actually have to learn to control it.

Move multiple craft next to each other, switch between them with [ and ]. Only limitation is that they have to be standing still when you switch.
The planes however, had to be launched as one then seperated in the air. Make a balanced glider that stays airborne by itself, then attach it to what you want to shoot it down with.

MechJeb actually landed me ontop of one of my Mun ships, causing both of them to break apart.
Ironically, the ship I was landing was a rescue ship for the one I landed on :v:
