This is hilarious and sad at the same time.
Any huge difference between the demo and 1.6? Because I may not be able to buy the game at all.
I like how my rocket has fins that rip off once it leaves the atmosphere. Destructive usefullness.

Oh shit one of the engines isn't firing anymore.
To get into orbit make sure you're trying to go sideways at your apoapsis (the highest point in your arc).
If you don't wait until then to circularize, you'll ruin your trajectory.
God damn, thank you so much. I was trying to circularize too early, a good 5 km's or so before my apoapsis. Cheers buddy.

I made a little space station
Now that I know the design works, it's time to add stuff on it
i hate to be that guy but... what parts are those?
Random parts just blow up in space...
When did this game get so fucking buggy.

honestly what game are you even playing?
seriously though check the log at the end of the mission if it actually just says 'part exploded' with no explanation i'll be thoroughly impressed

or just record this stuff so we can see what the issue is and maybe help you

Made a video on some rescue vehicle im working on. its a crappy video I guess but oh well im not good at this thing :(
Enjoy
Even mechjeb doesn't work correctly anymore, it just seems to fire all the RCS blocks turning incredibly slowly, while manually I can turn much faster.

Read through the logs, it's likely a decoupler is breaking apart or something. I've found them to be really weak at times.

how about you delete the entire ksp folder and start fresh
Is there a key to deploy ladders or do I just have to click on them?
I've officially given up. Even using MechJeb, all my rockets can't make it into even a Kerbin orbit (so don't even mention getting to the Mun, cause that's not even within my grasp).
I've tried everything: huge rockets, big rockets, medium rockets, small rockets. The closest I've come is by using a big rocket that gets to 80km above Kerbin and then proceeds to attempt a circular orbit, but I always run out of damn fuel before my orbit is circular. If I go to the vehicle management to add more fuel, it just starts a whole cycle of "Oh, space ship is heavier, so add more thrusters. Oh, more thrusters, less fuel? Add more fuel. Oh, heavier?" etc.
So what am I supposed to do? I'm done with the frustration of spending 2 hours building a ship, testing it time after time, launching it and launching it and modifying it and modifying it only to have a piece of junk in the end that can't even attain Kerbin orbit. I don't even know why. MechJeb should be helping me attain orbit but it just seems no matter what I try, it doesn't work out.

The large decouplers have the same strength settings as the small ones, which is why they feel so weak. Apparently they should be at least 8 times stronger.

Needs more solid boosters. Fuel rockets are really REALLY inefficient for straight take off.

Mind uploading a save of your own tried and tested rocket that can get me into a circular orbit around Kerbin? I'd appreciate it.
I've made a space plane design that I thought should be fine, but can only take off vertically with rocket clamps. When taking off horizontally, steering is terrible (veers to the right), and once it gets up to about 60m/s all the parts fall apart (Literally, everything just falls off). Vertically it flies perfectly fine (Controls well, etc.).
Also, on the lowest setting (yay mac mini) the ground is a death trap, it randomly does damage to objects and can cause them to explode (I tried doing an EVA from the launch pad, the second you touch the grass you sink into it, and if you keep walking a short distance you explode into a cloud of dust)

Start small. make a single stage with one or two fuel tanks and small thruster that can fly and is stable. Then make a second stage with another vectorable thruster and some fins, and maybe 2 or 3 fuel tanks, then finally attach your first stage to that, which will probably be 3, 4, or 6 stacks of 3 fuel tanks with vectorable thrusters or large thrusters (if your rocket can be controllable enough)
Add boosters as needed
also, staging horizontally works better
imagine a onion, and things flopping off the sides at stageing
also, staging horizontally works better

Onions generally tend not to explode though.

I stage horizontally a lot. Either with horizontally mounted solid rocket boosters, or horizontally mounted fuel tanks with fuel lines feeding the center fuel tanks (I can then eject the empty side tanks). Still doesn't provide enough to get me orbiting Kerbin.

Are you going vanilla or what mods?
Are you going vanilla or what mods?
Vanilla. I feel that there's no point me getting all advanced with mods when I can't even achieve the smallest task with vanilla parts. If I just add modded parts, it's gonna be more things for me to figure out and confuse myself with. I thought I'd achieve most goals with vanilla first, then do it with mods.

it has mechjeb on it FYI

the outer engine stacks feed inwards.
as soon as each ring runs out, drop it
this thing can get to minimus easily
You ask and you shall receive:

Finest Krussian export craft to date. Is probably capable of Munar mission, however only 100km orbit has been tested. Also that was with the jetison of the fourth stage with a huge tank and a half of fuel.
It lags like fucking hell, but as you can see, there's no mechjeb on it, and like with all Krussian space craft, there's a team of highly replaceable Kosmonauts always ready in the event we mess up due to lag.
Also this was a serious 10 minute slap together effort. I could perfect the design and make it efficient, but it's close enough.
Take note to how all of the stages that have liquid fuel that are outside the main body feed into the main body.

That ship worked a treat, all I had to change was the inner-circle four engines, to the non-vectoring more powerful ones. If I didn't change them, the thing would start to fall once the outer engines ran out of fuel.
It got me into a circular orbit! So happy. Gonna use this as my ship that gets satellites into orbit, thanks so much man.
PS: I was building my ships like that, but I wasn't doing it as neatly. I'd end up with imbalanced ships that would wobble the more power I added.
I'm going to learn to model and create my own Krussian mod, because everyone knows large bulky ships are the way of the future.
Puny ships are not robust enough to reach the orbital distance of what would be mars.

KSP has really made me want to pick up modelling again, but alas. I am too lazy and in 3 weeks I won't have enough time to do it.
Downloaded Mechjeb, went into space, didnt know what I was doing, hit the panic button, never saw my little men again.
